Hi Tim good question, I assumed it was in the Daniel book produced by watchtower society, there is a similar one on pg56 but it’s not in that book. I recorded this talk a few months ago and believe it’s from a wt publication somewhere. If not I sometimes find a good illustration on the internet. I much try and reference these in future. If I come across the specific picture I will message you its source. Hope you are well we recently returned from a holiday in Scotland and then the Lake District, it was most enjoyable. I remember when I was in my teens which was a long time ago, I loved looking at my grans very old and large bible. The image as I can remember was very very different. I truly wish I had inherited this bible as I cannot see true of my mums NWT as it has changed so much

Since you JWs have "The Truth", I was hoping you might be able to help me with the following very brief questions: When your first president Charles Taze Russell falsely predicted that Armageddon would arrive in October 1914, was your religion "The Truth" then? When Russell had no choice but to move Armageddon to April 1918 (to buy some additional time), was your religion "The Truth" then? After Russell's death, when your second president (Joseph Rutherford) was forced to move Armageddon to 1925 (to buy even more time), was your religion "The Truth" then? When Rutherford then firmly declared that "Millions Now Living Will Never Die", was your religion "The Truth" then? (Note: less than 400,000 humans that were alive worldwide when Rutherford drclared this are still alive today) When Rutherford then declared (in 1935) that the number of anointed had already reached 144,000, was your religion "The Truth" then? Beginning in 1966, when your 4th president Frederick Franz and several of his District Overseers began to strongly suggest (in at least 8 District Conventions) that Armageddon would probably arrive in the fall of 1975 but not much later than that year, was your religion "The Truth" then? When the Awake! magazine (May 22 1969 page 15) warned teenagers that they will "never grow old in this present system of things" [and would, therefore] "never fulfill any career that this system offers", was your religion "The Truth" then? When the Watchtower magazine (January 1, 1989) falsely predicted that Armageddon would arrive before the turn of the 20th Century (before the year 2000), was it "The Truth" then? (Note: don't bother looking in the JW library... they quietly changed the wording to read "in our day") In 2013, when David Splane of your Governing Body blatantly changed the definition of the "Generation That Shall Not Pass" to now mean TWO (2) Overlapping Generations, was your religion "The Truth" then? In March 2020 (roughly 1,700 days ago) when Stephen Lett if your Governing Body made the bold and firm claim that "we're living in the final part of the Last Days - undoubtedly the final part of the final part of the Last Days - shortly before the last day of the Last Days, was your religion "The Truth" then? In 2054 (30 years from now) when you're sitting in another Regional Convention listening to another talk re-assuring you that Armageddon is still just around the corner, will you still believe it? I'm just asking.

Yes, he did have the truth. he is not like the pope infallible he is a bible student like Peter who made mistakes or miscalculations , Peters writings were inspired his writings were not. Peter had Jehovah’s Holy Spirit and so did Bible students today especially when they are obeying Christ’s command to ‘preach the good news’. Christs returned invisibly did occur at this time, Armageddon would arrive later at the ‘day and hour ‘ designated by God himself at the end of the ‘last days’. You are correct that he believed that the 1914 event may be the Armageddon event, but he and ourselves are imperfect humans who are fallible. It’s true that opposing christians from the churches use his imperfection to claim they have the ‘truth’ and we do not. But since brother Russell’s time he discovered that political involvement by Christendom, the belief in Christ as God to be directly worshipped and the destruction of planet earth and hellfire as a destination after death are all lies spread to contaminate Christianity since the 4th century by Jehovah’s opposer who does control both the political commercial and religious worldwide human dominated system (world). ​@@paulaosullivan3174 if you're ever lucky enough to get your hands on genuine Watchtower literature published between 1890 and 1935 (like I have), you would very quickly realize that your leadership has been blatantly falsifying their history for a very long time, especially when they narrate the events surrounding 1914. Just as a simple and quick example... Today, your leadership claims that (many years before 1914), the Bible Students looked forward to 1914 as the year of Christ's invisible return. But if you simply browse through just about ANY Watchtower book printed BEFORE 1929, you will quickly realize that this claim is completely and utterly FALSE. In fact, what you will learn is that the Bible Students had already been taught by Russell that Jesus had returned invisibly in 1874 and the only thing they expected to happen in 1914 was to be taken up to heaven just before the start of Armageddon. Also, it wasn't until 1929, after the three (3) failed Armageddon predictions (Oct 1914, April 1918 and 1925) that Rutherford strategically changed that teaching in an attempt to slow down the mass exodus of those Bible Students who paid attention to Deu 18:20-22. Notwithstanding all of the above, Jesus was very clear in Acts 1:7 when he said that no one is allowed to speculate about dates that are in God's jurisdiction (which is what your leaders have done for 150 years). Also, all of this utter nonsense started when Russell was about 16 or 17 and read a strange book titled "The Even Tide" which was written in 1823 by a Bible prophecy speculator named John Aquila Brown. In that strage book, John Aquila Brown forcibly gives Daniel Chapter 4 a SECOND fulfillment and then uses unauthorized mathematical calculations to predict the date of Christ's return. Russell really enjoyed that book. So much so that he plagiarized well over 90% of that book to come up with October 1914. In all fairness to Russell, he wasn't the only one. Other religious movements of the mid-1870's pointed to 1912, 1913, 1917, etc.. When Christ didn't return on any of these dates, all of these religious movements abandoned any more speculation about Christ's return. Except Russell who was already stuck in his "Sunk Cost Fallacy". So Russell did what any businessman would do in these situations... pivot and rebrand. I suggest you attempt to get your hands on genuine Watchtower literature published BEFORE 1929 and verify all of what I've written here on your own.
