I have mained shadow for so long until this exp I swapped over to monk. Shadow feels so Fkn boring tbh all of the priest specs are feeling like shit idk what there thought process was. But having a blast with monk so eh is what it is

And the icecream on the cake was how buggy shadow crash still is to this day that piece of shit spell, oh they made another option that you can just cast on target? Yeah and it only seems to apply dots to like 2 targets max and Goodluck if they are moving lmfao absolute joke of an ability that it moves so slowly is garbage and they STILL haven’t changed it. Goes through the Fkn floor casts on the roof whole thing is a joke

Godsend of a video, shadow for me has always been fun, but we do struggle to keep up with other classes atm. so after a normal raid night with casuals, I parsed in the 70-80 range. After watching this I went from 530k single target on dummy no buffs, to stable 600k after 5min! cheers

The ramp up for open world content for SP is soul destroying. It’s my main I’ve completed every quest in WW. I decided to level my Fury Warrior while I waited for S1. Wow, it’s light night and day when it comes to how fast the questing was, just destroying packs of mobs. My SP destroyed Rares just as fast, but the cds are long and also have long cast times. It feels more of a grind. Both Archon and VW seem lacklustre on anything except single target. The cd of Shadow Crash is annoying too. Just too long. Other classes can spread dots much faster. I feel like we need some QoL love.

After the first raid night... this has to be the worst shadow has felt since Cata. I'd rather have Legion/BFA voidform back, and really hated it at the time. Being punished for downtime sucked, but at least it managed to pop off. Chaining a bunch of weak CDs feels really bad. Getting a strong Ascendancy Serum from delves didn't help, that trinket cast time on top of Halo, Eruption, & Torrent made it feel like all the ramp-up time was spent ramping instead of doing numbers, and spent way too much time capped on MB charges trying to get everything else out of the pipeline.

Same, I was holding out hope all week that single target raiding was gona shine for spriest, what a total let down. Spriest sucks hard this season and the set bonus has nothing to do with either hero talent. Disappointing.

Right now I'm running Quickwick Candlestick because unlucky drops. Should this be popped at normal trinket timing or offset when lust ends to avoid dr on haste gains?

While playing Archon, I struggle to generate insanity when out of cooldown (e.g., no Nova, no VE). What can I do to improve?

Generating insanity out of cooldowns is tough, the key thing there is to not spam Devouring Plague ASAP, you want to hold it until the DoT is about to expire or you are about to cap on Insanity when you are outside of cooldowns. This should help with uptime.

why are we taking psychic link in pure single target? Am i missing something? the talent only transfers dmg to other target with VT activ right? i tested it against a dummy and atleast in details it doesnt get listed.

Short answer is it doesn't do anything in single target, we just take it because there isn't anything else to take for DPS. If you are in a pure single target situation and want to add Silence or some other utility point you absolutely can. But usually these utility points are only useful when there are more targets/fights with adds.

My UI won't show the more than 2 purple arcs for Mind Flay Insanity procs. When you got to 3 procs it stacked 2 on one side. Any ideas how to make that happen?

I feel like mind devourer is almost completely useless with only 1 point. Keeping mindblast on CD, with 1 point in mind devourer, I had 2 procs of MD across 4 normal bosses. I find that even with 10% chance I get significantly more procs of it. Not sure if it's just the way the bones are rolling or if it's bugged, but 5% chance is just far too low. For me, if you don't have 2 in mind devourer, then it's not worth having 1.

From a sim perspective that’s what it prefers but the point alternatives aren’t far behind by any means so go for what you think is valuable. Short fights especially tough to judge some of these things

Archon 🤮 despite the choices, spriest is still C-tier. It will largely be dumped in favor of better specs

Spriest is C tier but can still do well if you solidify your rotation. I was able to out DPS arcane mage + fury warrior + rogues in heroic. Don't give up we are still good.
