Publius Attius Varus, Praetor 53 BCE

A stalwart of the Senatorial/Pompeian cause during Caesar's Civil War, Attius Varus fought throughout the entire conflict. Starting as the very first Pompeian commander in northern Italy, Attius would meet his end at Munda. Although he was technically triumphant over Curio in Africa, Attius would not enjoy much battlefield success. However, he would pave the way for the creation of the powerful Pompeian host which Metellus Scipio led to defeat at Thapsus.

For sure. I'm not sure which major figure I will start with, but I do plan to cover some of the titans of Rome. A while back, I mapped out a life of Caesar and I was looking at about seven parts, so I don't think that would be a good starting point.

Actually, yes. I plan on doing a tier-ranking of the Seleukid rulers at some point in the near future. I mostly just need to organize my notes and then set a time for it. That will probably be in September or if not, then in October.

No. That Varus was P. Quinctilius Varus, meaning that he hailed from an entirely different gens. Varus was the name for a branch of the family, but since they both hail from different gentes, that does not make them related. (Although the Roman aristocracy was so small that there is a chance that they were related by some other means)
