Hey, you don't need the voltage regulator. The alternator is internally regulated. You may want to look up a wiring diagram from the 70's car or truck for under the hood connections

I was thinking that too, especially with the F (field) A (armature) terminals.. That's all generator stuff, which isn't applicable here.

The inline fuse link by the high blower relay is the fuse for that relay. The wires below the fan motor are for the blower resistor to give you low and medium speeds. If you remove the resistor and check it probably has the mouse remains burned on it 😅! Love the work! Takes a lot of guts to finish one like this but you have got it now 😊 👍!!!

Hey there Puddin , You can get your head lamp retaining screw clips in the Dorman Help section at your local parts store ! You may also want too replace your dimmer switch on the floor , and also add grounding straps to your front clip and firewall , they are just as important as a positive for proper electrical circuit to work correctly 😀 👍 😉

Chasing electrical is fun if you have enough room to work which is challenging at times. When you were trying out the heater fan switch I was expecting a cloud of mouse house to come flying out. That relay you were questioning on is for the A/C system, along with the "spare" wires in that area. Those would be for the compressor clutch and the cut-in/cut-out switches. Been some 45-50 years since I worked on a vehicle of that vintage, so memory isn't to solid.

Really sucks when you get the sense a reliable shop is falling off. Happens so often like you said, someone important passes, or moves on; things look a little more behind or worse for wear when you go by, then the work starts to get affected. Was surprised there were no complaints on the turnaround time of the alternator, wasn't surprised to see they assembled the casing backwards.

If you ever struggle getting the riv nut tool in somewhere - you can crimp em down using a bolt with a nut on it . Run the nut down the bolt , thread the bolt into the Rivnut , then run the nut down (use a washer so the nut doesn’t tear up the riv nut)
