To all who might be interested, you can get a pack of 3 wireless relays with the remote from Harbor Freight for dirt cheap. I use them for anything like this that I do not want to permanently wire and add a switch. They use a 3 button remote and work really well, I have had the same ones for years.

Scuff them around the cracks/ separation and then jb weld. you can even seal them with silicone after if you are going to be using them in the rain if there's any little areas the JB missed. DeWalt chargers and batteries come with an "Overload Protection" system that stops charging the battery once it's fully charged. Moreover, DeWalt's brushless power tool line often includes features like the XR system that enhances tool and battery protection against overload, overheating, and deep discharge situations. Milwaukee features its REDLITHIUM system which, among other things, provides overload protection. Additionally, its REDLINK PLUS technology delivers optimized performance and overload protection by utilizing total system communication between the tool, battery, and charger.

Hello Puddin: Glad to see the warning light. Just a thought and a little extra safety. Put a heavy duty timer in the charging circuit. They are a piece of mind addition. If you forget or the light burns out or gets broken, the timer will sut the power down automatically for you and start it up again when you are back in the shop my batery station nowhere near as estetically pleasing as yours, the timer does make it pretty safe. Great to see the progress looking forward to your first project. Keep the videos coming.

Wire your plug on a main light switch so the shop lights go out the chargers go off. Also recommend a transmission jack for transmissions, transfer cases, and especially axles. Best way to support an axle while doing links, leafs or shocks.

I have been following for a long time, and I have to say these shop videos have helped the most. The car builds brought me here, but I don't mind the change of pace. I love cars, but I am also setting up a shop. So to see someone else having ideas the same as mine is pretty cool. I was stuck on a red light kind of idea and this helps. I was attacked at my own home and it left me with only one eye. I say this not for sympathy, but to stress the fact that I have been so depressed that getting out to the shop was no longer a joy. Corney as it may sound... Sitting on your ass won't finish your project... the same goes for these shop videos. Puddin' You've made me want to go out there again. I even hung a tv just so I can play your videos in the background while doing something as mundane as sweeping😂 You deserve all of your blessings! I hope to shake your hand one day! I was typing a comment here for you and was just about to bring up the topic of ventilation when you brought it up lol. I'm not sure if you know what cooking fans for a desktop computer looks like but I think two of those would be the cats ass for your cabinet. One pushing air in and one drawing it out on the other side. They're very small, incredibly quiet and draw a tiny, tiny amount of power. Amazon sells them and they're dirt cheap. One more thing from here here :). I bet you've been waiting your entire adult life to be able to call your property and buildings a "Compound". I absolutely loved hearing it and the term truly fits the property. You my friend are now the proud owner of a Compound. You and your family truly deserve it and it's been an absolute blast watching you get there. When you do get back to builds I really do hope you continue on the second channel with the same kind of content that you've been doing recently with the finishing of the shop and property. They're great vids. Take care and as always keep safe. You and your family.

I see an opportunity to dimple die a cabinet! Pretty Cool Charging Station! I would err on the side of caution and put in a cooling fan to suck cool air in from the bottom and exhaust holes up top. I worked in I.T., and we had a charging station for handheld devices for drivers delivering product to stores. It had 30 charging docks, and we had 6 commercial size converters supplying poser to those docks. That setup had to be duplicated for 8 different sites, though a few weere smaller sites and were only half the size. We had to install cabinet fans to pull air in one side, and push it out the other. When those fans shut off, it took maybe 5-10 minutes to overheat the converters. Yes, that was a lot more devices being charged, but those chargers generate heat and if you keep the doors closed while charging, it can overheat.
