HEY EVERYONE, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG. THE LYRICS HAVE CAPTIVATED MY SOUL SINCE JANUARY OF 2002. THE WORDS GIVE ME THE INSPIRATION TO LIVE EVERY DAY TO MY FULLEST POTENTIAL AND NEVER GIVE UP NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT LIFE GETS. I HAVE SEEN SO MANY INCREDIBLE AND MIND BLOWING EVENTS WHEN IT COMES TO THE RELENTLESS DETERMINATION OF THE HUMAN RACE. ENJOY THE DAY AND KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE. PEACE OUT, TIMMY G. 😀👍

I'm so rooting for Wes, man. It's sad what his addiction had brought him to. So glad he's doing better and the new album is actually a nice return to form for the most part. I wonder if a vocal coach could help him.
@darkone18032 жыл бұрын
@@jonahledesma You should hear him live in recent months, he's not too far off from what he sounded like in the early 2000s, he doesn't quite have that same amount of "rasp" he had back then, but lets be honest with all the drugs and alcohol and lack of vocal coaching back then, at his age it's kind of expected that he wasn't always going to be able to keep up that sound forever or at least as good he did back then, same thing with Chad Gray of Mudvayne.

My take; this song shouldn’t exist. It’s pure magic. This song is almost too hard for Wes to sing, he actually warms up here singing in minors so that he can stay in that weird key compared to all the other tracks. It’s barely playable in time with a single acoustic track(try it). This is not a song POM would ever write, it’s completely out of their wheelhouse to have chord changes like this. It shouldn’t even exist. But it does. And that’s incredible.
@jonahledesma2 жыл бұрын
I have to listen to it more closely, nice write-up. Have you heard the original recorded version? I believe it was in 1991 on their debut release "Stuck." Crazy that Wes believed in the song to wait - what - ten years? to release the song which is now a classic of that post-grunge/hard rock from the early 2000s.
@terminald70642 жыл бұрын
@@jonahledesma I have not heard the original recording no, if you can find it here on YT and link to it I would love to hear it though. I don’t see how it wouldn’t have been a chart topper in the early grunge era yeah.

@@terminald7064 kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHLQhY2VnNRlhJo It's a bit unpolished (it's grunge, after all) but not bad at all for being a first release. EDIT: Also, it was 1994 not 1991. 91 was when the band formed.
