First of all, it’s an incredible cover. This guy has some solid soulful singing skills. Well worth the alliteration. And the fact that he pinned someone that provides useless criticism attached to an apology proves his affinity for clowns. Pin the Hate When the Skills Are Great!

Seriously, letting the last line hang is so perfectly Puddles. This is one of those songs you have to make your own if you're going to cover it properly. Nobody can ever be Simon & Garfunkle, and only a fool would try. Draiman also understands this in his cover--he didn't have to change _anything_ other than to sing it from _his_ heart and it became powerful in an entirely new way. It's an absolute masterpiece.

It is a sad thing about todays music. With all the speed and variety and simple availability of music today a part has been lost. The story and should. Most music is just made to be heard to on your way, or while doing stuff. Its made for the background. But that there is the old way music was listened to. A story and feelings. The first time I every really listened to a song was during a Larp. We had a really good bard and it was late evening at a campfire. And boy I never had such a experience listening to music.

Listening to and singling out every instrument, gives me tremendous focus, which applies to my every day life. My gf was abused by her husband for 10years and had insomnia and rampant uncontrollable thoughts and dreams all day...but doing this, clears her head and all those voices go away. Okay, here goes: Firstly Absolutely 'Soulful' - How many times have we all heard very good versions but always with the vocals in the higher registers. The restrained and yet powerful way you have sung this Puddles is truly Moving AND Absolutely 'unique'. You have a rare, rare talent and gift - we would all love to be able to move another soul to tears (in a Beauty Way) just through the use of our voice. This you do. The Heyokah's and Clowns of the Ancient Peoples would use Humour and Sorrowful renderings to heal individuals and groups of people, You Puddles have the ability to do this, but now in a modern way in these (very difficult) Modern Times, times when we ALL need 'Healing'...When you sing - You not only move us, but you Sing FOR us in the sense that we (the silenced) majority are unable to..so "Thank-You". (I hope all that doesn't sound weird or anything). One Horrible week in my work place, I get home listen to this and the letting go of the weeks horror's and the Healing begins! . :O)

It's ridiculous how much Puddles Pitty Party gives me emotions I can never describe. It's a dad-voice, but it's haunting. It's like, I don't know what this is, but I want to see and hear it.

I hear you. I'm in my 70s, so disregard if you like, but prior generations have discovered that the opposite of lies is sometime not truth, but emotion. Puddles's life-changing perspectives on common themes have many antecedents. Were I your tutor, I would recommend reading (or better, watching) plays by Ionesco (The Bald Soprano), Beckett (Waiting for Godot), Pirandello (Enrico V), Brecht (Three-Penny Opera, The Good Person of Szechwan, many others). But then I'm only just scheduled to outlive the prior millenium. Others, like yourself, will carry on. Fair winds, calm seas.

Yeah, it's like inverse-nostalgia. The reality that something so warm and caring becomes grim and tearful as you get older. It's the hollow feeling in your gut when you find a toy you had as a kid, but time and wear has caused it to break apart the moment you touch it. It's never again being in the backseat of a car big enough to fall asleep in, but having to focus on the road all night and watching every billboard that passes you by. It's a sad clown.
