Puerto Rican Festival in Humboldt Park begins, tent dwellers told to move

While thousands of people are expected to come enjoy the festivities in Humboldt Park over the next several days, earlier this week, several people living in tents throughout the park were told to relocate to another part of the park.

People don’t understand most of those “Tent Dwellers” are also homeless Puerto Ricans. I been living in Humboldt park my entire life, and California and division are full of homeless Puerto Ricans.

Puerto Ricans deserve to have this festival. So the unhoused are moved to the other side of the park … that’s okay, they’re fine . Honestly I didn’t know they had tents in the park …the city needs to house them like they have the migrants… cmon Brandon you can do it!
