Bella is a veterinarian text book miracle! Great use case for vet school students. Glad she pulled through her puffer fish poison ordeal! 😊🇨🇦

When you said how old she is and I realized she's just a little girl and is away from her family and has no idea why she feels so sick I actually cried. I'm SO glad she was okay! I hope she never goes near a puffer fish, or any other poisonous creature, again in her life! I'm do glad she's okay. Watching her tail wag like that once she felt better was wonderful, she's beautiful and I'm glad she's with her family again.

What beautiful and adorable little bearded ladies. Was getting choked up with Bella's whimpering. So thankful she came through. What a relief.

As a mini schnauzer momma myself this really touched my heart. My Lilly girl has had a few issues such as a bulging disc twice has ivdd chronic pancreatitis which caused her to develop diabetes which caused her to go blind. I found her on a railway track 9 years ago & she has been the best dog ever. I constantly worry about her being in pain or something else coming up. Poor Bella had to have been so afraid & her owners as well im so glad her sweet little self made a full recovery!! She has a lot of life left in her. They are great dogs & I hate to know any animal is sick or hurt it breaks my heart...♡ 🐾

I hope Bella's recovered. 🤞 And mayhaps a study of her blood/DNA would be valuable - she might literally 'hold the key' to saving other animals lives.

same thought, its amazing how well her immune system handled the toxin.

No, it attaches to nerves and is processed by the liver.

The more "cheeky" an animal is the more they need to be trained and if your animal is not trained either put them on a lead or some other safety measure or don't take them someplace like the beach where they can get lost or hurt like that.

Why wouldn't you bring in your dog right away instead of waiting 8 hours? Thank goodness Bella survived.💖
@saraflint2982 Жыл бұрын
He must not have realized how dangerous it was. She was just throwing up and in discomfort, not seeming to be severely ill. It's very lucky she survived with no further problems.
@madamg612 Жыл бұрын
I think 8hrs post-incident is just the point where the camera joined the case. Bella has her front paws bandaged and a cannula in, suggesting she's had some intervention already- I think she has been referred to this large hospital by a smaller veterinary surgery?

Reprehensible that you are filming this and the Vet is taking time FROM TREATING THE DOG, to give commentary to the show. Very disturbing, showing this for ratings!!!!
@Larindarr Жыл бұрын
exactly it is cruel.
@CynAnne1 Жыл бұрын
Linda - We must disagree. The Vet was doing *everything* she possibly could - there's *no known antidote* for the poison, so *all* they could do was keep Bella calm (and pray that her lungs didn't stop 'reflexing'). The fact that she not only survived, but apparently recovered her motor functions *was/is amazing,* and *definitely* worth filming for posterity (and future study).
