Pufnstuf was actually made in 1969, I was actually 2 years old, I remember watching it as a kid in the 1970s. Those witches weren't actually evil old haha but yet they were actually crazy and goofy? That's what made it a great comedy show program back then. Those people were actually on something like psychedelic mushrooms or maybe acid. Yet it brings back great memories of my favorite childhood tv program. To all of them that actually went to the big comedy show in the sky, Rest in Peace. 😭🥲✌️🤗😂☮️👍

So sad to hear the shoddy sound due to the age of this 1970 classic. But this movie not only inspired me as a 7 year old girl, it reflects of the sweetest years of my reflection in life. It was certainly a different era which I wish this World could relate to more, these days. It was a fresh movie from the awful nightmares of the 60's that included the Vietnam War. We deserve these cherished memories & it's awesome to remember.

The trailer has muffled sound, but at least it exists. The movie sound and picture are excellent.

I don't know but there were 2 attempts made to do a new Pufnstuf movie. One in 1998 and one in 2010.

Technically this is true, if you count the production of the TV series on which the film is based, right down to reused assets. The film itself took only half a year to produce, with production beginning in January 1970 and premiering in June that same year. The rushed production quality really shows. It's only marginally better than the TV series, even when reusing its jokes, but the real saving graces of this film are, surprisingly, its superb soundtrack (by Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel) and high energy filmography and direction, particularly during musical numbers and confrontations between Jimmy (Jack Wild) and Witchiepoo (Billie Hayes).
