I love this film, one of my favourites of all time. The final fight with Ripley in the Power Loader fighting the Alien Queen is probably my favourite demonstration of practical effects in film, I'm still blown away by how in the hell they managed to do it. Also something I don't hear many people talk about, at 38:43 Hudson's arc is really great. Him going from overconfident to completely terrified earlier on is one thing, but at the end when shit hits the fan he steps up despite how afraid he probably still is, really great way to wrap up his character and by far my favourite Bill Paxton performance, RIP to a legend.

The guy with the bandage on his head was NOT Gorman, who got hit with the box on the APC. Gorman used the grenade and blew himself and Vasquez up when the aliens had them cornered in the air shafts. The bandage-head guy was Hicks, the one marine who survived and gave Ripley the motion tracker. He was sedated due to the pain when his chest was splattered with acid in the lift. He was the one who taught Ripley how to use the guns and gave her the locator band (which she then gave to Newt).

@@CalAndMel I don't care what you like or don't like. You called it a "strong ending to the trilogy," which is obviously false. It's neither strong or a part of any trilogy, because it starts with the biggest retcon in the galaxy, which breaks continuity. And without it, there's no movie.

I do recommend watching Alien 3 and 4. The third gets a lot of flack (some is deserved ofc) but most of it is directed at a choice being made in the beginning of the movie. Which is weird but the movie itself is cool, some good actors (black guy with thick glasses is awesome). Also has some bad CGI stuff. The 4th one I really enjoy a lot. Great all around set of cast, interesting and different story. It's like Blade 3, Terminator 3, Matrix 3. They get flack but are all good/great movies anyway.
