I love how much training for the big jump that the horse has obviously done! You can tell when he clears the 4ish foot jumps like they are nothing! Amazing job!

This is an example of why clean riding is something to focus on even and ESPECIALLY at the highest levels. Mixed communication commonly causes issues and can result in falls etc. Routinely focusing on relaxed mindset is something that almost all jumping teams need to be focusing on at all levels. Watching these teams rip around the arena with the horse's head in the air with short reins and rider hauling on the horse's face is an example of skipping steps in training that focus on a balanced equine mindset. Take the time to install relaxation from the beginning of training all the way through the training journey. It doesn't take long once it becomes habit. Put ground poles and raised cavaletti after jumps to force mental focus so running off doesn't become a "go-to" mindset in the horse.

I swear your supposed to let go of the reigns after you fall... some people say you are, some people day hold onto the horse... but when some people hold on, the pull the bridle off and it's hanging by the martingale, and it just gets caught in the horses legs

If you fall and dobt land on your feet you should let go, but here he landed on his feet and didnt pull or hurt the horse
