Why the name is Chutney, because it's to be prepared quickly ( chuttunu )

*Chutney - from the Tamil word சட்டுனு @ Chutunu. Also the hindi word Chaatni is similar. But Chutney is more than 2K years old. So hindi can't be the origin of the word chutney and at the same time, sanskrit is not an ethnicity, so it also can't be the root for the origin of the word/dish chutney. The most plausible is சட்டுனு @ Chutney, meaning fast/made freshly/immediately/bistro.* Another example is the word *"Soup"* - from the Tamil word/verb *"சூப்பு @ Soup."*

I am an avid follower of your videos, being a foodie my self :) Just a suggestion, you could come a full circle by sharing the Chutneyfied product with the original recipe owners and get their live reaction !! Cant wait to see the smiles in their faces.... Keep it going...

Fresh made and packaged will be quite different. Although it will be good to share, I agree.

All these grinding stones still exist in few houses - *We put the Sill- batta to good use*. Cleaning fish too The wet grinding stone and the dry grinding stone is gathering dust. 🔼 should we donate it to people who scavenge for vintage items that land up in eclectic decor ware houses of NY
