Took me two days to recognize the sound merely by letting finger go up directly on pulled off note was too light compared to first note played. That’s when one realizes something is not right with pull off. Thus alternatively plucking down like a rubber band without disturbing southern strings is more effective since it plays the second pulled off note in a way but with finger as a pic

What’s crazy is that you think your legato is good then find THIS out and everything changes. Learning it improperly makes it to where you have to completely restart with your legato but the good news is, even while doing it at slower tempos, getting the technique down will make it so much better!

To do the "true" holdsworthian legato by the way; dont use pull offs, only use hammer ons
