By staying active like this will keep one mobile at both a higher level and for longer. Those who become decrepit in their older years is almost exclusively do to inactivity. Although as one ages, you have to be more careful of using proper form & not over doing it bk you don't heal as quickly

54 man here from Costa Rica. Just realized this year that THIS is exactly what I want for the rest of my life. I am only doing 7 pullup reps with no weight. I am in NYC right now and went to the small calisthenics area in Central Park and felt something very special to share my passion with other folks, which were quite young, but one of them was about 65 and the only thing that I thought was: I’m going to be there. Feeling strong makes you feel and BE younger Hope I can see you mates sometime

I don't consider myself strong and it had been some 13 years since I was last a gym-goer, so it was fun to know i could do it. Occassionally i'd pop that muscle from the back of the neck to the shoulder, i forget its name. Fun and games.

@@funwithcalisthenics i suspect your high views are down to curiosity of the ageing process. I think when people hit middle age like me they have a growing interest in defying it. So the thumbnail of another middle aged guy like yourself competing on something like strength is interesting. I've started obsessing about running, dropped 14 kgs, and competing at 5km runs. And while im only 41, and inspite of my efforts, my times are only comparable with me at, say, aged 26 if i was just operating on my sort of baseline fitness level (21mins30s ish). I was given a spare pull up bar by my friend so after watching this, i'll need to find somewhere to install it and try.
