Should have grabbed the idle pressure relief valve. It open at idle to by-pass the compressors load on the engine. It vacuum operated so a simple solenoid vacuum switch valve like those used on V6 2.8 / 3.2L GM truck engines to control the EGR valve. Hooked to a relay & cheap micro-switch on the throttle. I’ve Eaton reman short shaft all shinny & fresh with gasket for cheap. Fits the 3.8L Buick Park Ave & Pontiac in 92-93. Best wishes and want to see the fabrication plus results. Already subscribed. Veedol used to make this extreme pressure LSD additive in a rip top tin that you added to standard 90wt Hypoid gear oil. It was about 140 wt and you had to pour it into the back of one of those mechanics' suction tubes in order to get it out of the tin. There was no way it would suck out of the tin. We used to call it Can of Farts. The smell was unbelieveable. Your comment reminded me of my apprenticeship days.

I want to take 2 of those m90 super chargers and put them in the bed of an ls swaped s10. I was thinking about making a sheetmetal triangle shaped manifold for mounting them and using a Harbor freight predator 212 with the governor removed. It kinda be like the boost caboose from Roadkill. I figure the 212 would spin them fast enough with the right gearing and some cheap upgrades. They will turn 8,500 rpm with the governor removed. I know it's really far fetched and more then likely wont make much boost if any at all but it would be something fun to tinker with. You can port them a good bit on the intake and pressure side to help get some more hot air out them also. There is a bunch of info out there on how to get the most out of the little m90.

You will need two M90's and the L48 350hp 350 camshaft. Stock 8.5:1 C/R. use two side draft China made copy Weber's carbs. Then you Might make 500hp on 8-10psi

You needed to keep the vacuum canister you unbolted from the side of the supercharger. 14:28 That actuates the bypass valve so it’s not under boost at idle. It also recirculates excess boost to the intake side of the supercharger when you let off the throttle.

Getting a lot of comments on this. I should have explained more in the video. After I removed it and looked at it I figured it was a blow off valve of some kind and took it as well, so we have it.

Theres a guy on youtube. He put an m90 blower off a v6 on to a 4.8. He had more power naturally aspirated than with that small blower on it. He used a highram intake and fabbed up a plate to mount the blower.

It would be so much easier to convert it to run with a carb than a fi engine imo. Would be pretty cool on your sbc. Chop the end off and plate it, mount the carb on top and make a base plate for the intake. Still a lot of work never the less but wtf. Junkyarddoggs is bolting two m90s onto a 5.0 and hes put a ton of work into it.

he wasnt spinning the SC fast enough and didnt have smaller pulley. M90 is 1.4 liter.. stock LSA is 1.9. we have made 77hp over stock.. on a stock motor with an M90 and super inefficient homemade intake

saw someone take two of those and mate them end to front cut into the throttle body and mount a four barrel at each location. I wasn't to thrilled cause it was a ford but wish i took more pics. it sounded very mean with a serious blower surge. hav e 1 picture but don't know howto send it

I have a couple extra of those superchargers laying around. Not sure how good they are. 1 extra intake manifold for a 2000 SSEi, too. Technically 2 manifolds if you count my parts car. EDIT: I'm actually about to pull mine off and do the top intake manifold gasket.

I bought a SC from a Buick ~20 years ago to try on my Chrysler 2.5 turbo but sold the car before getting around to it. It's still sitting on a shelf somewhere. It might be OK on a 4.8 with a smaller pulley if you port the intake and use a larger TB. You should have taken the vacuum actuator that was on it, I think it's is for the by-pass valve in the blower. I would be thinking about putting it on the Cobalt. BTW, a rebuilt caliper like that is only about $35, why bother with junkyard crap?
