The waves have been that nice over here too. Same crowds too :-) More coming. I remember one year a massive yacht from Russia anchored just offshore from our best left in the summer and it did block/break up the sets. Two helipads, a speed boat that launched from the rear. Jetskis from a side platform. It was the size of a cargo ship. RC surfer needs a BEEFS T.V. shirt or tat.

There was a swell in fall 79 that moved that entire beach in front of the power plant next to Grand out 250’feet and created a fifty foot sand bar and giant whitewash mosh pit. The waves were breaking in deep water and huge for weeks it seemed. Only time I saw the waves breaking at the top of Manhattan pier pylons just under the platform and pounding each section. I left after that so not sure how the fixed the beach. It was gone mostly.
