Pulling my hang ups with the c4 skidder

Retired logger that owned a pulp wood special C4. The good was their size for getting around. The bad is they are not great on steep terrain. 353 Detroit with the Gearmatic.

I turned down countless acres over the 28 years of cutting. Even with perhaps a better balanced machine I worked by myself and I just would not take the chances that some others will. The loggers on you tube who show themselves logging in other countries with the LKT 81 skidders are Crazy. Put that skidder in the search bar here if you have not already. Stay safe. A Tree Farmer C4 "B" series. With the bigger Gearmatic 19 winch it may have been sold as a "Pulpwood Special". Someone has done a nice job fabricating the cab and limb risers on this one. The original work station canopy had very little in the line of operator protection. The wheels and tires look like they may have come from a grader or payloader origin. The switch from" B" series to "C" series happened in 1968.

Thanks fir the information I have no idea what year it is. No tags on her. I picked it up of a family friend for a real good price. It has a rebuilt 236 Perkins in her with less than 300 hours I think the cab is from a Clark model. I can find any information on this model of machine. The gearmatic winch works amazing. I love this little machine.
