it does suck that we are not allowed to boot people during Island Raid. Lats IR which is the one you were doing this video right before it started. We had one R4 who decided all he cared about was his individual goals and not playing as a team. He went against our game plan and because he was an R4 the alliance almost split on the 3rd day and we had half the members automatically doing what he told them because he was an R4 and the rest were of course sticking to our game plan. He decided he wanted to get his kills up so he marched into another alliances area encouraging everyone who would follow him to go with him and saying he was going to single handedly destroy this other alliance. Sure he had T5 troops but most of the members who went with him had T4 and even some T3. What ended up happening was when he marched into this one alliance territory and started attacking their farmers, what he didnt realize was they had formed a friendship with an alliance beside them who was only in like 5th place and had made a deal with the other alliance that they would help them try and get 2nd if they didnt attack them anymore. So once this R4 began hitting farmers of the alliance in 2nd place at the time, within moments it created total chaos as members from the 2nd place alliance and the 5th place alliance all began to swarm in on the R4 and all our players who went with him. Everyone who followed this R4 lead ended up suffering tremendous troop loss and that led of course to them having to waste all resources they had left just to try and get a few troops back. To make matters worse many of the members who went along with the R4 who went against our game plan, had ported closer to the other alliances area they were going to attack. Some of them ended up getting burned down because they didnt have any more troops left and in their panick of begging for help in alliance chat so on they didnt move back to the helipad area. With half our stronger players not online at the time due to different time zones.....we didnt have the man power online to fight back two alliances at the same time and we lost 3 towers and valuable ground. It caused a war in our alliance chat as until this decision by this single R4 we were in first place and we fell to third place within 2 hours after this chaos created by one single R4 who wanted to get his kills up and went against what was working for us. After about 2 hours of arguing after it was pretty much over, this R4 left the Island and went back to region because he was told flat out he would be booted the second that IR was over. We did end up rallying and taking back ground and ended up bringing the Pirate Trophy home a second straight time to our region. But for about half a day on the 3rd day it looked as though we were screwed all because of one R4 deciding he wanted to make a name for himself and try to get his kills up higher than anyone in our region. The rest of us didnt fault those members who followed that R4 lead because they were just doing what they had been taught to do which was not to argue with an R4 and to follow their lead. We have talked a lot since last month and tonight when the IR starts again we have set a schedule and this time have informed all members that nothing changes from our original game plan unless it comes straight from our R5 and otherwise all members are to stick to the original game plan including our R4's period. We also adjusted our R4 members so that we will be able to have at least two R4's online at all times day in and day out so that way if anyone tries to go all Rambo and break game plan, another R4 will be able to quickly text the rest of R4 and our R5 on discord so we can all quickly get on and try to exterminate any gas lighting. Nothing is worse than one selfish stupid member causeing the rest of the alliance to loose so much in troops and resources and it almost cost us the trophy. It took a combined effort of team work from all other members working together in rallies to take back the lead that day. I was very proud of the team work. But I will say I felt bad over how much it hurt many of our members who spent an entire week and for some members two weeks after the IR was over just trying to recover from all they lost. This is really hard for members who wanted to participate but were still not even to a point of having full R4 troops. This IR we only have about half the amount of members that are going to participate because of what happened in last IR.

How is matching to other alliances work? I seen alliances with 2 billion might higher then 2nd highest. The smallest one is absolutely unable to even leave the helipad

Would they pair your region with another region of a similar age?

I think it might be a factor but def can fight an older region, for ex if R5 only has a 1b alliance they cant really do much about that if the alliances aren't comparable to R2 or they are too big to be put in a smaller bracket, the matchmaking from what I can guess maybe depends on alliance players tech/troops possibly activity and stuff like that
