Yeaaa you can’t rly claim “same” when you go from a 6-10mm drop. BUT, the people I have heard from that tried this shoe have said it’s one for the ages. Wouldn’t rule it out.

Not a fan of the increase drop and the less versatile outsole. I live out of a suitcase 6 months a year and the Deviate2 is a perfect one shoe universal trainer. The Deviate3 is more normal, a "me too" shoe, it's become like the other kids... Yawn.

Looks like they tamed the rear foot rocker by filling in some of the bevel. The outsole coverage has been scaled back which sucks if you run on gravel roads. I'm not liking the increased drop. The higher drop and flatter heel is going to make the shoe clunkier on landings. I'm going to grab one pair of DN2 on deep discount and move on. My focus going forward is going to be on supermax shoes with stack heights above 40mm. Everything below 40mm is underwhelming and comes with compromises. The future belongs to shoes like Prime X and Skyward X.

I have the v2 and enjoyed the first 150 miles in them however I'm now at the 300 mile mark and they dont feel anywhere near as good to run in anymore 😖 I was looking forward to the v3 however that stack increase my be a deal breaker personally. Think I'll wait for some solid reviews to come out before making any purchase 🤔

I have over 250 in mine and its almost the same shoe. Incredible for speed sessions and racing up to half marathon. For me its faster than boston 12

@@lowzyyy Yeah I had the Boston 12's and sold them as I honestly couldn't understand all the hype they were receiving? I found the Boston terribly boring to run in. I actually replaced them with the Deviate Nitro 2's which like you I just found overall a better option. The v3 however has me on the fence so may wait for either some good reviews to sway me or I'll take a punt when it goes on sale 😏

I hope the “NITRO” on the medial side is not on all color ways - that would be a deal breaker for me. I have the DN2 and have liked it a lot. I think I will kiss the outsole which made it a nice light trail shoe. Should have kept the price at $160.

for whatever reason I can't click "reply" and post a reply. So for those "offended" by my criticism, I am criticizing the marketing gimmick of plated shoes that seems to make people think it's a needed feature, even for training shoes. Sure, it sells shoes, but for anything other than a race shoe it's just a sales gimmick. I have Superblast and they're fine. I also have alphafly and they are finer for races. I would not go on ez, long, or fartlek runs in the alphafly. If the plate is needed to control the compression/release of the midsole in a training shoe, maybe the shoe has the wrong durometer or compound of midsole material. You can get Deviate Nitro 2 at Ross Dress For Less for $35 right now.

Love the new model! Although V2 can be purchased for well under £100 over here and may suit people who don’t care for the 10mm drop. The new shoe looks banging and the changes for me work but V2 was so good and at the current price bit of a no brainer … either way Pumagrip is king

Have the 2 but with the firmer foam in the heel the 8mm drop feels like a 10mm drop. An increase in the 3 to 10mm drop is a definite no way for me. Definitely won’t be buying it this time.

I use the DN2 as a trail/road hybrid, i'm not sure the stretchy upper (hate it in the VN2) and less knobby and total rubber coverage outsole of this one is not going to work for me.

Puma Deviate Nitro 2 WTR (water repellent) was the perfect winter and rainy weather do-it-all shoe for me, based in the UK. Including for long runs up to 18 miles with no issue and light trails. I’m hoping there is going to be a Gore-Tex option for the V3.

Quite liked ver 2 apart of toe box being very narrow ... ver 3 seems to have same problem and 10mm drop makes this ver very easy pass for me - decided to transition to smaller drops so 8mm and preferably 6mm drops for me - all 10mm are instant pass for me

The black colour has wider toe box than the orange one. It labelled as Deviate Nitro 3 Wide. The orange one is labelled as Deviate Nitro 3 Fade. I already tried both at Singapore store. The black one is more comfortable for my feet.

It allows the foam to stay in place, keeps me on my toes and is a rock plate on the trails… Before the V1, I was struggling with calf issues, totally gone. Not sure it’s the plate but I ain’t going back to pain.
