Those are HRC heads Scott they replace the hooks that would have been there

I’m assuming their function would be to keep the bar from potentially getting pulled horizontally through the concrete once cured?

What you need is to find an old Morgan squeeze Crete. Thompson. Pump. Restore them and have an antique pump off. And yo can start your own Canadian pump museum

Love the concept!!! That fully restored 801 Schwing boom pump at last year’s World of Concrete was a show highlight for me.

Scott is absolutely right any 4-5 section z Boom ran in a roll n fold configuration. The boom just bounces like crazy. Til we meet again 😂

Frustrates the heck out of me to see guys running them like a roll and then complain that the pump is a gigantic piece of crap because the boom is bouncing all over the place. I’ve seen 20+ year operators whom can seem to figure to figure this one out.

So I grabbed the DJI mini 2 drone (same one as what Jeff at Muddy Feet has). I’ve had the thins for months; just finally got around to using it (Matt here in he video had to hold my hand through the process). Aside from that, I’ve got a GoPro Hero 8 Black, Hero 11, and 360 Max. Honestly though, I mostly just use the Hero 11 for the build of what I do.

Funny things has happened my internet friend! Been moving to Sweden, and changing logo on my back. I suspect the concrete Im into now is much the same as the concrete I can see on your videos. Normally the company I work for is mixing their own concrete from mobile mixer plants built on trailer chassis. Either this is feed directly to the pump, or the pump is loaded with one or 2 wheel loaders with a concrete bucket holding a couple or 4 m3 of concrete. Me and my new boss was out pouring a slab for a garage, and got concrete from mixer trucks. And my mast plugged up with a water priming. I couldnt understand what I did wrong, but I think it was to little speed and rpm. My boss dont like the junjin pumps going 1800 rpms....
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 3 ай бұрын
So I’ve never really been convinced that rpm specifically, really has anything effect on the prime. For me, it comes down to seconds per stroke (5-7 seconds per stroke is my sweet spot). Whether it’s achieved with high rpm and the volume know dialled down a bit, or low rpm and the volume know turned up, it still all comes down to how many second per stroke. I actually prefer to keep the rpm down as such that over the engine noise, I can still hear the material progressing through the boom pipe I could very well be wrong/missing something here, but that’s how I’ve always experienced it. No right or wrong way, just the way I’ve always preferred to do it.
@lagresomadsl

@canadianconcretepumper1979 The strange thing is that I did everything the same way I've done it the last 6 years, and still it plugged up. The dial is 5-6-7, always when priming. I thought I was onto something when I primed the pump and 64m of 4 inch hose. In one go! That didn't last long. The albow exciting the turntable blowed right open, ripping itself like a tin can and then the bolt on the clamp holding the short pipe and first albow on the first boom broke when dissemble the wreckage. I was out sailing without a boat and a pump covered in concrete. What a shitty day..

Vancouver is about 50% English speaking, 49.3% “other”, and about .7% French speaking. Not too many French Canadians out west here. Good number of guys on the rebar crews, but not too much else from what I see on the day to day. The last French Canadian guy I ran into actually beat me in a pump rodeo…. ain’t that right HUGO??? 😂 kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6XZgKFtl6ebmJIsi=puJvXcJDkokrzHQK
