Many newer ovens (even 20 years old) have a dehydrator function if they have digital controls. Many have "hidden" dehydrate functions - the more expensive model in the line might have had it, but not the lower end model..... but, it may because it just took a physical button to actuate it. If one googles their stove model with "hidden dehydrator controls" or along that line, they may find it! Mine did! It is actuated by pushing a series of buttons.

Hi, my second suggestion was different from the first, not sure if you read it correctly. I didn't say for a second time that you should buy the book; I was attempting to offer a positive, proactive solution. Chef AJ works ridiculously hard to help people; I honestly don't think she has the time to tackle arduous projects like that. I just thought it was rather demanding of you to ask that considering you could do it for yourself. Sorry I offended you; I wish you well.
