We live on a small farmette. The flower gardens are mine, and my hubby takes care of the veggie garden. We planted a variety of pumpkins this year too. Oh my word! They grew everywhere-- into the corn and tomato plants. The blue ones have been my favorite and they go great with my supertunia bubblegum that I don't have the heart to pull yet. So fun to share with family and friends.

I love the variety of pumpkins that you have. I only planted honey nut, spaghetti and pumpkin pie this year. My compost grew something early in the year but we turned it in July. That squash was tenacious and regrew. It goes 20 feet in all directions. I let it grew because why not. I have several large pumpkins from it. Still green but oh my!

Your pumpkin and squash vine crop videos are my ultimate favorite. I keep learning and gaining new ideas every year. I have a small yard and I can't wait to some day grow a pumpkin patch like this. I hope Aaron and you do grow a larger crop next year, my vote is with him lol. I would love to see you add in new varieties and different types as you have been it's so nice. I have bought so many seeds and have tried so many in my area, last year I think we got 2 small pumpkins, this year we got 6 and 4 different varieties. I definitely am wanting that hot chocolate one now as well. Love the color

I love the idea of spreading crop vines out! I did something similar this year. We were preparing our property to host our daughter's wedding and had a couple unsightly areas with very little time or money to landscape and plant. So instead, I threw in a bunch of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, and voila...instant cover and beauty! A great weed barrier and filler in difficult spaces.

We bought the pumpkins and flowers for the centerpieces, going to several grocery stores and box stores to get a variety. We carved out the pumpkins and sprayed the inside with Lysol and put the large Solo cups inside to hold the water with preservative. We separated and spread out all the flowers on the dining room. We then went around the table picking flowers from each pile to make the bouquets. Each was a little different and all so pretty. We had so much fun doing this. Thank you so much for your videos,Laura.

Thank you so much for what you guys do, it is not just educational and entertaining it is therapeutic for me at least.

I am from the MidW so it is hard to figure things out!...anyways, just took off my new Garden Answer Sweatshirt(this one without a hood) over my Garden Answer turquoise t-shirt!! I love to advertise for y'all!! I just wanted to encourage you!! I know you are busier than most!! and we have been there and now that we are retired from nursing completely, we are busier than that!! haha So! I identify with you so much and yes, it is ok to leave dishes in the sink or carpet unswept to go enjoy your baby, to plant more seeds, to harvest, to work on your mulch! You have to give up one thing to gain another at times in life. LOVE your giving away attitude and really, ministry in life. God will take you far and your family; you will never relive this time; it is precious in the sight of God. Little Sammi and Little Benjamin and Aaron love you for it......and we DO TOO!!!.....it is a joy to be "part" of your life!!! Oh, Praise, I had Dahlia's this year!!! and a new Koi Pond!(from my sweet hub of almost 52yrs)...God bless you for reading this journal entry but you were on my heart this morning!! We had to have a tree cut down, English Ivy was growing all around it up to around 8 feet. After pulling all the ivy off that year there were Widows walking around near the back porch area, I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden there were so many black widows then it dawned on me that they were in the ivy! So glad no one got bit, none of us wore gloves! I don't have much garden space in my back yard but for next year I must see about growing a pumpkin, they are so nice this time of year!
