What I find intriguing is that in the headmaster's anime, Punch/counter punch Is one of the characters that's extremely accurate to Toy appearance that being as counterpunch when he's running around the Decepticon base his punch components are visible on his back, Also in the headmaster anime he only has one yellow gun.

With that short leg configuration, this really sets the template for the Animated Shockwave spy conversion.

I still have my Punch/Counterpunch somewhere. I got it at a yard sale, though, so he's missing his weapons. But I *adore* him. Any time a Transformer had more than 2 modes, it excited me. Six-Shot was my holy grail, but I never did acquire one.

Wow, crazy coincidence, I finally snagged this guy from a local toy shop this past weekend. Such a great slice of this era of G1, which has been my favorite era of G1 for a long time. Funnily enough, my waist slide has the opposite problem, being slightly too loose. If only our Punch-Counterpunches' waists could transfer energies across the internet. Also, I feel like, in terms of the toy’s storytelling, it makes more sense to me if Counterpunch is the true form, given how much better hidden it is in Punch mode.

@@Vangelus If you put it into either the short leg configuration, or the full leg with the feet pointing down, and fold out the arms to the sides with the wheels facing towards the front of the vehicle, it makes a pretty cool looking MASK style flying mode.

the POTP one was my introductio to the character,never got the toy tho, him being a deluxe, on top of being an expensive one doesn't feel like is giving him a high enough partscount to make him work.

I knew of the character since the 1980s, but the POTP version was the first version I owned, because the original is old and hard to find, and the other intervening versions were all stinkin' convention exclusives. I quite like the POTP version, but the leg engineering was a bit . . . off.

I genuinely thought this was an old review I somehow missed and haven’t watched when it comes to my recommended feed. 😅 Such a pleasant surprise that it’s a new review. Never had a Punch/Counterpunch, but finally got lucky few days ago and managed to nab a used Dominua 2 pack with Barricade. He (or they?) has always been such interesting character(s) begging to be explored more.

Punch/Counterpunch was like, the first G1 toy I got as a teenage collector in the mid 2000's, and man does it still hold up as just a cool transforming robit. (Also Skybound should have made Punch one of the autobots in the initial cast but it is what it is)
