They really seem to have underestimated how popular Megs is, because I've barely found any toys of him at all. Oddly one of my TRUs had a giant Hound shipment...but no Megatrons. Nowadays Grimlocks are just gathering dust like real dinosaur models and I'm disappointed.

There's that Evasion Mode Optimus Prime with the face mask and a more g1 color scheme. Im very very much hoping that will be the case with this guy.

I gotta say my hype has gone down for the Leader class. the mask gimmick is amazing, and the jet mode is sexy af. But the robot mode arm gaps and the big hunky fusion cannon/the entire jet cockpit just do a lot of damage to him for me. Also, I kinda like the proportions of the Voyager better. They look different to me.

Agreed. At first I was all in for the leader, but, having seen this video and a separate review of the leader, I'm kind of changing my mind. Its size and mask seem to be its only advantages.

I just got this figure today, and I would like to say that the sword is actually cast in the same clear crimson plastic as his eyes and parts of his head, so that in certain lights the base looks like its smoldering. I love it!

I like how you can fold back the canon's tip to plug in his Legion Class's jet mode, and I like that his Knight Armor Turbo Changer toy's mask looks like G2 Makuta Teridax and his torso looks like Metagross's face.

No. These movies kind of leave you to assume that the robots dramatically change over time without much apparent reason. I mean, WE know it's to sell more toys, but in-universe I don't think they've ever explained it. Granted as of this movie they've had more than 12 and a half hours to explain these things, but if a sci-fantasy action movie wants to focus on sci-fantasy action I won't complain.

biodragon882 Since ROTF, a few robots from the movies always got left out of the accompanying toyline. I think DOTM technically got all it's toys, but Q, Soundwave and Dinos' releases were cancelled in the U.S due to overstock of the previous waves and the red nascar autobot (forgot his name) was a Target exclusive.

wow he looks great! but the thing really holding it back for me is lack of any type of waist swivel, that was the same case for optimus too. This ones a maybe for me, but i skipped out on optimus. The evasion mode prime mold is still one of the best movie figures imo especially if you go takara or correct the paint apps on the american release (i stripped the blue paint on the hands and feet to reveal the gray and added in some paint details, looked great afterwards).

Yesterday I got the Voyager TLK Optimus and now I'm waiting to get this Megatron. And I also want to get the KO Masterpiece Voyager Optimus from KBB, just in case they also make a Megatron.

I lost faith in Hasbro when it comes to transformers in fact I sold them all to my local comic shop after bayformers 4. I can careless for head combining bots. however Megatron design in the movie really stuck with me and this figure looks decent enough to stand on my shelf on its own until Hasbro gets their $hit together.

astrayblue1 I totally get it. I exclusively collected movie toys and then lost interest after DOTM. I've been tempted to colllect the G1 inspired ones, but most of those you have to get in the aftermarket and the lines have gotten so cheap-looking since Prime. But the thing is that I can actually live with that. No, what really kills it for me is the mark-up in price. I mean come on, $20.00 for just a deluxe?! F**k off!
