One of the best deluxe figures I've seen in a while. The fact that he has covers that close and seal his forearms and his legs is amazing, and it's something that's been missing from so many of the deluxe figures, which essentially started with the Combiner Wars releases. You said it, he has very little hollowness, and that is one the biggest reasons why I stopped collecting the main line. I wonder if they've finally decided to make a return to form here, or if this will be just random one-off.

YOU CAN SIT TITANMASTERS ON HIS ENGINE PODS. On the tops. Those slots are perfectly sized for the nubbin on the back of titanmasters' legs.

I'm passing on many of these weird obscure late-G1 characters for Titans Return, but I need the Jumpstarter bros. I had Twintwist as a kid and I always enjoyed these guys. this guy's backpack is Gundam as hell too, so I really want him for that. Great vid man!

That is also because of him being a bulk enough character to have enough plastic thickness to add flaps to the arms. Many other characters are simply too thin to have a hinge there. It would snap off too easily. The size of current deluxes is too small in most cases.

you know whats sad? there is no modern guys that exist just for a gimmick. that sort of deal ended beast-era. Like if the wanted to do the flip-change gimmick again it wouldn't be a new character, it would be flip-change optimus or flip change bumblebee. The RID line just did the duo-con/multiforce/energon gimick, was there new characters made for that? Nope. Just Optimus, bumblebee and the gang.

Topspin and Twintwist are from the Diaclone line Diaclone Attack Robo. And Hasbro got the entire package of all toys takara had so they simply slapped autobot and decepticon symbols on each and every toy they got their hands on and added them to the line. And sell it. It is not like Hasbro wanted more of these. It is simply that the stories told in comic and animation caught on so well that until this day these characters are held dear and they remake them. adding new characters is difficult. Also the funny combination of how decepticons and autobots came to be because of the different toy lines had such a vibe to it and it is what makes transformers.

I'm going to skip this, for exactly the reason you said. It just looks sort of generic to me. As great as blue and white look together, something about it, combined with the classic hero proportions and the only sign of his vehicle mode being the arm wings, makes this figure just seem like another robot to me. I can't argue that it's an excellent figure, but it just doesn't have enough character for me. I wish I had Wave 4, though. I really want Kup.
