Don’t you think we are sickened to see the men we elected are just criminals robbing us? It’s not the fault of a country, it’s the fault of few dozen individuals. And about Russia, that’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Why do you think Russia is the richest of them all? Maybe because Russia haunted small countries for centuries? Stole territory, resources, started war, was the core of communism. Doesn’t that come to your mind? Russia is the ex- URSS. Of course they are the richest, because the small countries didn’t stand a chance. And about Russians being the most educated, you are so disrespectful to the other countries. They are not the most welcoming, and the rest of the countries are not disrespectful to foreigners. My country, the Republic of Moldova, has such beautiful traditions to welcome guests, you don’t even know. And maybe we are not the most educated, but we can thank for that to “mother Russia” that made sure during communism to kill. Every single hardworking man, every single intellectual, or send them to Siberia. So stop spreading stereotypes about the Slavic countries if you don’t know the whole truth.

And that everyone should submit to them and tbh if I would be a foreigner I would be afraid to walk the streets at night in Chisinau, not just at night even during the days some places.. these people are the type to attack u without reason or laugh at u and try to provoke u. Well said awanderer. As someone who was born in the USSR and frequently visits the post-Soviet nations, it's hard to watch a video like this. The Soviet system was messed up in many ways, but one of its few virtues was its universal education, healthcare, and the fact that all people (from different ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds) had a roof over their heads, no matter what, and lived in general harmony with one another (1953-early 1980s, especially). When the criminals and oligarchs took over, many citizens became despondent and turned to alcohol and a life on the streets to survive. There's many people like Vova that I've encountered and conversed with on the streets, who are smart, educated, multilingual, and genuinely kind. Bald does a great job of re-humanizing a lost demographic in the post-Soviet world.
@DoctaFlood4 жыл бұрын
@@adavtyan247 Everyone in favor of Socialism loves to point to universal education while failing to mention it being used as a tool primarily to indoctrinate its peoples. Education was never the point. Just a convenient byproduct. But it led to people who didn't think in as innovative ways, which is why it was surpassed by capitalism and a system that rewards innovation and thinking outside the box. Carrot and stick. Instead of just stick.
@adavtyan2474 жыл бұрын
Andrew Flood I understand your point. Unless you have experienced the current poverty, corruption, and general lack of opportunity that consumes the life of millions (And I mean roughly 100-150 million people) of people in the post-Soviet world, it will be hard to understand my position. I strongly encourage you to gain the perspective of those who lived during that era. Not to be convinced, but to understand that life was frankly better then for the majority of the population, than it is now. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. Apart from the Baltic nations and maybe Armenia and Georgia in the Caucasus, life is more oppressive now, than it ever was during Soviet times. It’s not a coincidence that 53% of all the former republics, not just Russia, would prefer the Soviet times over now. This channel does a great job of shedding some light to that.
