Maybe because is your fault? I don't know Moldovans but in general speaking, slavic nations are extremely corrupt and disrespectful to every foreigner. Only russians are educate and kind to foreigners and look, although they have a dictator for 2 decades or more, russia is less poor than the rest!
@nichitaoleinic6424

@@yisraeleliyahu7495 you are disrespectful. A nation is not corrupt, a man can be corrupt, how can you speak if you don’t know exactly what you are saying. Don’t you think we are sickened to see the men we elected are just criminals robbing us? It’s not the fault of a country, it’s the fault of few dozen individuals. And about Russia, that’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Why do you think Russia is the richest of them all? Maybe because Russia haunted small countries for centuries? Stole territory, resources, started war, was the core of communism. Doesn’t that come to your mind? Russia is the ex- URSS. Of course they are the richest, because the small countries didn’t stand a chance. And about Russians being the most educated, you are so disrespectful to the other countries. They are not the most welcoming, and the rest of the countries are not disrespectful to foreigners. My country, the Republic of Moldova, has such beautiful traditions to welcome guests, you don’t even know. And maybe we are not the most educated, but we can thank for that to “mother Russia” that made sure during communism to kill. Every single hardworking man, every single intellectual, or send them to Siberia. So stop spreading stereotypes about the Slavic countries if you don’t know the whole truth.

@@yisraeleliyahu7495 nah I'm from moldova.. currently living in France.. believe me u're right saying that the people in moldova are not being accepting of foreigners. Most of them especially the young ones 15-30 yr olds are the ones I'm speaking of. They feel like they rule the streets. And that everyone should submit to them and tbh if I would be a foreigner I would be afraid to walk the streets at night in Chisinau, not just at night even during the days some places.. these people are the type to attack u without reason or laugh at u and try to provoke u. But that's mostly the 'russian' part of the teens/young adults.. there's this other half (that mainly speak romanian), they actually can speak english pretty good and would help u see the beauty of the city .

When Bald asks him what happened to make him end up like this, Vovo doesn't wish to touch on this and it's sad because you can sense there is pain there that Vovo doesn't want to resurface... Maybe this is why Vovo is never sober :/ Sad reality for many people in the world.

Well said awanderer. As someone who was born in the USSR and frequently visits the post-Soviet nations, it's hard to watch a video like this. The Soviet system was messed up in many ways, but one of its few virtues was its universal education, healthcare, and the fact that all people (from different ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds) had a roof over their heads, no matter what, and lived in general harmony with one another (1953-early 1980s, especially). When the criminals and oligarchs took over, many citizens became despondent and turned to alcohol and a life on the streets to survive. There's many people like Vova that I've encountered and conversed with on the streets, who are smart, educated, multilingual, and genuinely kind. Bald does a great job of re-humanizing a lost demographic in the post-Soviet world.
@DoctaFlood
@DoctaFlood 4 жыл бұрын
@@adavtyan247 Everyone in favor of Socialism loves to point to universal education while failing to mention it being used as a tool primarily to indoctrinate its peoples. Education was never the point. Just a convenient byproduct. But it led to people who didn't think in as innovative ways, which is why it was surpassed by capitalism and a system that rewards innovation and thinking outside the box. Carrot and stick. Instead of just stick.
@adavtyan247
@adavtyan247 4 жыл бұрын
Andrew Flood I understand your point. Unless you have experienced the current poverty, corruption, and general lack of opportunity that consumes the life of millions (And I mean roughly 100-150 million people) of people in the post-Soviet world, it will be hard to understand my position. I strongly encourage you to gain the perspective of those who lived during that era. Not to be convinced, but to understand that life was frankly better then for the majority of the population, than it is now. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. Apart from the Baltic nations and maybe Armenia and Georgia in the Caucasus, life is more oppressive now, than it ever was during Soviet times. It’s not a coincidence that 53% of all the former republics, not just Russia, would prefer the Soviet times over now. This channel does a great job of shedding some light to that.

Lithuania has plastic packaging recycling automats that give 10 euro cent for each thing, and unlike germany where only fewbspecific bottles are acepted they accept a lot different stuff, in summer was making 50 euros a day. Much easier find good sleep spot in nearby forests that surround towns as less population density than in west. Amazing libraries charge ur phone fast as fuck wifi. Cept the weather bomz paradise. I love how much this channel has done for showing people how genuine, sincere, and caring a lot of homeless people are. So many people just assume the worst of them all the time without any more thought than that. I really love Bald for taking his time with these people to show that despite class and cultural, and whatever other differences, we can all love and connect with each other as fellow humans.

Used to be pro athlete. Drafted in Danish league. Got citizenship and joined the party. Got drunk and fucked some shit up and got exiled from Denmark. With his life now in shambles he started drinking every day, back in his homeland. Was too drunk to do anything. Savings ended and so starts the homeless saga. With everything lost, his only friend was bottle and Bald.

@Smattless I live in Finland. Alcoholics aren't some exotic creatures I only see on KZbin videos. If I want to hang out with alcoholics I literally have to walk 10 meters from my front door. Even in the worst case scenario 100 meters, because I live in the center of the suburban area that has all the shops and liquor store. During summer there is occasionally some drunkard recovering from the hangover next to my balcony, so I don't even have to leave my apartment to interact with them. However, I don't mind them that much , but I have interacted with them enough that I can say that Vova is almost certainly a piece of shit. There are different types of alcoholics you know.
