I guess tearing the teasers off and just tossing them into the waterway is acceptable. It's one thing when we lose plastics on catching fish but throwing it into the waterway is wrong.

I agree. If more people were even slightly more conscientious about the way they conduct their daily lives, we wouldn't have oceans and lakes full of plastics and styrenes. I live on a small tidal canal in FL and every tide brings with it cigarette butts, black n mild tips, plastic bottles, gloves, face masks...you name it. I love Roland and love watching his whole family fish but I wish they or someone like them in the public spotlight would start bringing attention to this stuff. I've tried to find alternatives to soft plastic baits that would decompose and there are a few companies working on it but none of them have the $ behind them like the large sponsorship companies. Some day!

Tieing a snell knot on one of those flipping hooks with the keeper, just about has to be one of the more difficult time-consuming knots to tie, there just is no room on that part of the shank.
@paulkimble62233 жыл бұрын
Try the owner jungle flippin hook, it has enough room to get 8 wraps before you get to the keeper

Damn Roland get a scale that you don’t have to jam a hook into their gills to use
@hummer4u2nv113 жыл бұрын
The hook goes under the 'v' (not gills) this does not damage gills. Also he catches BIG bass that are too heavy for the 'lip-grip' style.

@SystemFreak173 жыл бұрын
Getting even a small fish up through that heavy mat of hydrilla can be rough. Or they run and try to wrap you up in lillypad stalks. Gotta be able to yank them out.

Cool video. But, please don't throw discarded plastic into the water. We have enough trouble with pollution. Plus, smaller fish swallow those little bits of plastic and suffer internal problems. This sets a bad example for kids. Thanks.
