Basically she plays the bank and we played as if she literally owned every single tile (we started with extra money) and we basically tried to wring back the control of the world from her with shady deals and dumb arguments (reminder she was 5). Some of the most fun I've had playing a board game. Impossible with an adult though, cant beat a fully developed brain when they play as god. 16:45 I decided out of curiousity to win this mtach. Surprisingly, didn't progress to the scene shown here and got a bit lost. I ran around and fought the UNO club president and the student council president, then I ran back to the gym to end up in a 5-man game with the characters who weren't in the previous match plus glasses girl. Then I fought another 5-player game that had the same roster as the 6-man game minus glasses girl. At that point I got curious how long this goes on for if you just keep winning. I fought a 4-man game with the English teacher, club pres, and public morals guy. Afterwards, you get the Student Council President stealing all the credit. So losing the very first match allows you to skip THREE additional UNO games and go onto Chapter 5. Also, what a weird tournament structure.

Oh great, they actually have the point system in the game, if it didn't I'd be super surprised. The points system in a group setting actually makes holding all your special cards a possible issue, so you can actually be punished for hoarding. Removing points actually unbalances Uno quite a bit. Not that anyone really cares. Also draw forever is a better rule than stacking, anyone can fight me on that. (Oh and great video again Punchy, was happy to see you did a video on Uno!)

God, Cribbage! In theory, I love it. But without a computer game showing me the options... knowing the rules in real time against an experienced player leaves me open to giving up like 6 points a hand in things I forget to declare. Ugh.

@@JamesShow I play Cribbage with my dad a lot. It's a fun yet very frustrating game to play irl. Fun because there's a number of ways you can approach it strategically let a lot is left up to chance to keep things exciting, and frustrating because you need to know the scoring inside and out to have any hope of winning against an experienced player. Thankfully, my dad and I play a slightly more merciful version where if you forget to declare something you're simply out the points instead of your opponent stealing them. We like playing this way because it keeps the pace of the game relatively fast and the tone more casual.

Draw 2 stacking rule works better in a group setting than a 1 v 1 setting. In a group setting you can get sent straight to the shadow realm if you misplay your draw 2 by everyones cumulative stack. Adding a little layer of strategy on the order what kind of cards you play. In a 1 v 1 it’s usually the person who has the most draw 2 stacked that wins. More like a stand off to see who plays first. I have experience playing Uno during homeroom throughout my whole high school experience, so I know a whole lot. I think we combined two packs together lol. We also had 4+ card stacking which absolutely made it terrifying when it managed to loop back to you.

There was a proliferation of TCG-based RPGs during that genre's boom, but unlike UNO there's actually a sense of progression and some skill in a TCG, even if all you do is play to earn more cards, the fact that you earn more cards build and/or upgrade decks creates that sense of progression. When I was in college, we came up with "Drinking Rules" for Uno. It's actually surprisingly easy to adapt Uno into a drinking game. Any time it would have been your turn to place a card but another Player's turn denies this, you drink. If someone plays a Draw 2 or Draw 4 on you, you must also take that many drinks. If another player changes the color and you can't play, you drink. You basically have to take a drink unless you can play a card.

At this point I'd believe any insane premise has a Japan exclusive game for the PS1.

I'm not the only one who plays uno by the rules!!! We are not from the States, but my mother travelled there when the UNO was new and bringed one home. We learned to play with the rule set. Last 20 years ofy life I had to explain and negotiate the rules when I have played with someone outside my family

I will first admit my bias: I grew up on the stacking 2's and 4's. I believe it both adds to the risk of deploying a Draw 2 [at the prospect of being forced to draw four cards.] As well as provide counterplay ["Draw 2" "No, draw 4." "No you, draw six." "No you-"] And provides some measure of tension. But also Uno isn't fantastic so :v

praise be to our lord and saviour, Track 15 I'll admit I scrolled down to comments as soon as the "end" happened and went back later like "wait why is the video still going with this BOP" and found the editing gag, was worth rewinding for xD I don't have Deep Thoughts over Draw Stacking, other than it's a nice way to change things up if you for some reason play enough Uno you get bored of it and need that. But, stacking 2s is allowed, 4s is allowed, 4s on 2s is allowed, but no 2s on 4s. If we're doing it, escalation is allowed but not deescalation, that's my usual ruleset when done, just cause it breeds chaotic energy. I'm no game designer, I'm here to break shit
