Hi, good morning to you from Hong Kong 🇭🇰.The Blue-winged Pitta is indeed a beautiful bird, having its range from India 🇮🇳 to Malaysia 🇲🇾, Indonesia 🇮🇩, southern China 🇨🇳, an the Philippines 🇵🇭. In Hong Kong 🇭🇰, we have the Common Tailorbirds, but not the Ashy Tailorbird. Yesterday morning, as I strolled along the seaside promenade, I also saw a MALE Asian Koel sitting quietly in the tree.

The blue-winged-pitta is very pretty, the colours so vibrant. Definitely one in my life list! Most colourful ones i've filmed are the blue-tailed bee-eaters. Anyhow hope your elbow is fully recovered!

We were blessed to have this very sociable pitta at at neighbourhood park. Thanks to the spotter who shared it. Also thanks to birders who visited. No one go too near. So it was not scared and did not go away. I think this really helps for the bird to stay longer. I guess this was the first (from my many sighting of Blue winged pitta), one that is not afraid of human. As for my elbow, its a long process to get it heal (very frustrating). The only way to heal is not to bend the elbow too long. But with migratory season, one cannot resist holding our camera. Sometime, the nerve hurts so much after I hold my camera too tight for videoing. With our age, my only way is to accept it as part of aging LOL. Still trying not to touch the computer too much though. Thanks for asking. Hope you get to see the Blue-winged Pitta soon. Cheers!
