The Common Myna was spotted and shown in this video because it looked so handsome. I used KZbin to save my memories on interesting wildlife that I met during my walk. Since I have the resources, I share it to anyone who has the same interest. Javan Myna are very common in Singapore, but since I did not meet any on this walk at this park, I did not include them in this video. Thanks for sharing the birds of HK in this comment. Have fun exploring the parks.

Oriental Magpie-Robin is a very common bird in Singapore's park. (Noticed I indicated "common resident" next to the bird ID?). Many photographers do not take picture of them because they are just too common. For me, I just watch whatever wildlife that I met during my walk. Because, I just love to observe them especially when they sing beautifully.

We have both the Greater Coucal and the Lesser Coucal in the New Territories of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR ! They stay in the thickets most of the time near the beach / promenade area. They only come out to look for food when there isn’t any disturbance at the beach / estuary area. Otherwise, they are difficult to see, but often heard.

In Singapore Birds website, Greater coucal is listed under common resident. But this was the 1st time I spotted it. So we can imagine how difficult to spot them. Thanks for watching. 😀

If the owls are nesting, they will be there for a while. Once the juvenile left the nesting, then we will need some luck to spot them. The Spotted Wood Owls is really a very lucky spot for me. Thanks for watching friend. 😃

Just a small advice if I may. Your shots are great and editing too. I love seeing them and I subscribed. If nesting season is on, the owls is always around near nesting area. Usually during this time, we can spot them easily. Once baby is ready to fly, the whole family will leave the nesting area. Thats when we need some luck and very sharp eyes to spot them. I visited PRP car park E, basket ball court last Sat (27/4/24). the whole family was there. But baby has flew to another tree. Not sure if they are still here. If you visit again, do check them out, I usually screen every tree all the way to the top. LOL. Happy owl spotting.

Hello again. I was told Nightjars gather on the grass around the bandstand in the Botanical Gardens at sunset.
@kimpriorityАй бұрын
I don't think they only gathers at sunset. Their behave like owls. If you spotted them during day time, they will sleep at one location throughout. (provided nobody disturb them). As for location, I believe they can be anywhere, places where plenty of dried leaves. I have spotted them at gardens next to Symphony Lake, Eco lake and Red Brick Path. All the places has dried leaves. Just that it is be so well hiden then we cannot spot them. So it is very rewarding when we spotted them. LOL. It is the Grey-headed fish eagle. The birds of Singapore website listed them as common resident but I do not spot them as often as the White-bellied sea eagle. Great paradise tree snake, what camera are you using? What is the best place to find these snakes in Singapore? We will Singapore in july 2024. Thanks greetings from The Netherlands
@kimpriorityАй бұрын
If you are referring to the snake video posted on 21 Nov 2022, kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWi7YnhuiNiKo5o I was using the Canon Powershot SX70HS. Same for this video as well. I have switch to Sony RX10iv, if you are following the videos I posted more recently. For snakes sighting, they can be anywhere, we just need to be alert when we walk about the nature reserve. For mangrove vipers, I usually spot them at Pasir Ris Park Mangrove Boardwalk, maps.app.goo.gl/xzWiKfwWVbQPtpTcA or Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (popular spot for King Cobra). Since snakes can be very well camouflage, it would be easier to ask the wildlife watchers when you are there. We have a friendly wildlife watch community here. I am sure they are willing to share their sighting locations. In other parks like Windsor Nature park, Wallace trail, you can expect to spot different snakes. Well, it all depends on our luck on the day of visit. Best wishes for a lucky snakey visit.😄

@kimpriorityАй бұрын
My apology. I may not be the best person to advise you on public transport from Sengkang. I am fortunate to have someone to fetch me there whenever I visit this wetland. However, I did some check from the Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve website on 3 Apr 2024. beta.nparks.gov.sg/visit/parks/park-detail/sungei-buloh-wetland-reserve. It says : From Kranji MRT station, take bus 925 (Mondays to Saturdays) or 925M (Sundays and public holidays). It seems that bus 925M will bring you to the wetland visitor centre but it only operate on Sundays and public holidays. Whatever it is, do double check with google map so that you know the locations of the bus stops before you visit. Thank you for watching.
