Loved the show Marc and Dave! As far as modern production Hiwatt circuits go, the best bet appears to be Hi-Tone, which stays true to the original circuits and mil-spec wiring and has as one of its partners Dave Reeves’ son.

I enjoy your content. I remember going to Makin' Music in Homewood, before the move to Chicago. The Record Swap was close by. I bought so much gear and strings there and also at Musiclab in Lansing. Took lessons there and DeCola worked on my guitars. I wanted to take the Soldano amp building course but just never did. Smh now I work as local crew since '90 Again , I really like what you share online and maybe in the future, I'll enjoy playing through Friedman equipment. Awesome stuff!

@Tone talk, Have you heard the latest Ed Van Halen Marshall amp rumor? It has been said that the Plexi (SLP 12303) that Ed bought from the Pasadena rose palace, his main amp all those years was also used by Jimmy page to record The "Lemon song" before Ed bought it from the rose palace. The rumor is coming from Ossie Ahsen channel here on YT. Oh and FWIW Vivian Campbell used a Seymour Duncan "Full shred" on HOLY DIVER with a stock JCM 800 and a Boss od pedal.

My top three underrated guests that I'd love to see on Tone Talk in 2024: 1. Nick Lee from Moon Tooth and Riot 2. Jim Lill from KZbin and Nashville session musician 3. Jack O'shea from Bayside.

Vivian used an OD-1 into an 800. His pickups were a pair of DiMarzio X2Ns.

Mark, are you eating a lot of red meat and other ungodly fatty foods Red meat twice a week at most My dad couldn’t get it and died from heart problems at 60 . Red meat is actually really good for us but not more than a few times a week Hamburger has almost zero positive nutritional value.. so if you insist on eating lots of burger make it lean and follow it up with healthy food We want you around

I definitely need to eat better and lay off the fatty stuff like bacon. I don’t eat burgers a lot (maybe once a week) but I do eat fried shit and other stuff I shouldn’t. I’m getting back into the gym and will be eating better. No more drinking alcohol for me either. Not worth it. Thank you!!! 😊

I was on my deathbed with an a1c of 13 last March now it's 5 and no more meds with my Dr's blessing as of July. Intermittent fasting (8hour per 24) eating window, no snacks , lots of protein, very high fat diet, high fiber and very few carbs and no seed aka vegetable oils or as little possible and severely limit processed foods . I'm 6'3" was 214 , now 184 lbs 58 years old . Exercise or at least do a brisk walk 30 minutes a day. Your life will change. I drink beer a lot and have no beer belly that can be detected
