🔹 The Most Brutal Way to PUNISH Scholar's Mate Trick - • The Most Brutal Way to...
The Wayward Queen Attack (also known as the Danvers Opening or the Patzer Opening) is one of the most common chess tricks played at the club level, which happens after the opening moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5.
Of course, the main idea of White is to follow up with 3.Bc4 and checkmate you with 4.Qxf7# which is the Scholar’s Mate. Additionally, their strategy is to continue playing normal chess if Black (you) defend against the checkmate threat.
However, you should not let them get away with playing this weird, desperate attack. That’s why, in this video lesson GM Igor Smirnov teaches you the brutal way to punish this Wayward Queen Attack or early queen attack.

another idea worth exploring is actually e4 e5 Qh Nc6 Bc4 g5, repelling the Queen, Most players will the play Qf3 and you could then play f5 shortly after. If white takes with Queen, play d5 IMMIDEATLY, with a discoverd attack on the Queen (Bishop on c8) while simultaneously attacking whites Bishop on c4, winning it. Sure, it isnt as devastating as this, but it works too if you arent a fan of gambitting pawns.

6:36 Isn't that just a M3 for black? With Be3. If Knight blocks then you just take it and win. If Bishop recaptures, you retake with knight and have two different Mate threats that cannot both be stopped. Qd1 & Qd2, each square is protected by one of the knights. You can take one of them or move the white knight to cover one of the squares, but you can't stop both.

Why would they worry about the pawn forking their pawn and bishop at 3:00 when they have checkmate in two and don’t need to get distracted by this? Also, what should you do if they don’t take but move the pawn forward to threaten the horse, as it’s got no where to go?
@crimson8076
@crimson8076 9 ай бұрын
i think he showed both possibilities, at 3:00 he showed if they took your pawn, and at 4:50 if they ignore your d5 pawn and go Bh6, of course the light squared bishop is not on c4 so f1 is an available square for the king to go to, but then you just take the bishop with your pawn that has been hanging for several moves. and if they push the pawn and threathen your knight, simply take their bishop with your pawn, and after they take your knight its mate in 2 for you, Bb4+, wherever the king goes to you finish with Re1#. hope this helps

for white at your level i would suggest the london system, its a very sound and robust opening suitable for beginners alternatively for more dynamic positions you can go for ruy lopez, and for black i first played the king's indian defense. hope that helps!

They don`t need to move their queen to g3, they can simply play Nc3 or Bd2 and your great discovered check is useless, you wasted a pawn for nothing and gave the whole center to the opponent. Just play Nc6, defend the pawn, then push the queen back with Nf6, make the opponent waste moves with his queen and lead in development yourself. Playing in this video only works if the enemy is a complete noob and has no eye for a discovered check against his queen, if he does you are in a bad disadvantage. Defending the pawn and just doing normal development made me win every game against an enemy who tried to pull a wayward queen attack so far.
