It was really nice to see that Ethel's eyes relax after her surgery!! You could see in her eyes that she could actually breathe for the first time ever!! I hate breeders!!! Poor kitty Kevin and hims poor leggies!! Glad his dad kept pushing to see what was wrong so he could feel better!! ❤❤❤

From what they said, the medication is just temporary, time for her to decrease her anxiety a little bit and be more receptive to the message they are pushing with the behavioural therapy 😊 so yes I hope she will not have time to get too potatoey 😂

They are puppy mill people, They will sadly keep doing that anyway, regardless of one being arrested. They make dogs for money and don’t care about the dogs. Normal people care about animal health and their happiness.

Several years ago I had a pure bred pug who came from a puppy mill. 😡 Her parents were related, but thankfully her only abnormality was a 6" long tonue! 👅

Dr. Scott, when you do surgeries on dogs and cats, do you ever send them home with pain meds for a few days?

Some animals do. The vet will tell the pet owner whether they will still needs pain meds after going home.

Ethel does have some length to her snout, so she came from better genetics than she ended up with, with that blocked airway. She's obviously had it so long that her tongue has thickened and is permanently poking out. I hope Scott knows that real cowboys didn't wear those boots in the 'wild west'. It always appalls me how vets and their staff can't read 'dog language'... laid back ears mean 'I don't like what you're doing', and slightly turning their head (and eyes) away briefly means 'no, I don't want it' and sometimes, 'please don't make me'. Not even Cesar Milan knows dog code, except that if you look at, speak to or touch the dog, you engage it's attention, and that's why you should never do that when leaving your dog, because engaging them and then leaving just tells them 'you're abandoning them'.... that's why some pets are angry at their owners when they get back, but politely and subtly sulk ('refuse to engage') their owners... and turning belly up actually means 'I totally submit to you' and is not always a request for belly rubs.... that's why some dogs ask, but then don't like it. It's happened to me! But then most love it and interpret it as dog play, that's why they start rolling and talking... the really submissive one will just lie there and take it, so if they're not reacting at all, it would be nice to of you to stop.

Call me over protective but I think all cats should be indoors.Letting them outside opens them up to harm and diseases.They tend to live longer too.❤

I agree with you ! Cats to be happy need to hunt and to move and explore. You can totally recreate this in your home if you put effort in it. Of course just opening the door is easier, but the outdoors is a dangerous place for cats, with predators, cars, poison, mean humans, parasites and maladies, other cats wanting to fight… it’s also a great source of stress for them to have to roam and constantly defend a territory, even if it’s a natural behaviour. Injuries from cat fights very often get infected. Not even speaking about the ravages they make in the local wildlife. On average, indoor cats do live a longer life, you’re right on that… and if you give them distraction and a lot of playtime and exercise, they live super happy lives !!

Clearly you're not experienced with cats... Cats are solitary hunters and aren't very social creatures like dogs. No, you can't keep a cat indoor it's whole life because it'll stress them out more. This is common sense I fear...

@@V_insomnia cats are too sociable they can live in groups. In fact, a lot of cats are found in colonies, which are several cats living together. Yes, they can be on social but they can also be very social. Keep your cat inside or don’t get a cat. It is not safe for it. You’re not only putting the cat in danger, but the local wildlife in danger just because you do not want to put up with having something around inside
