They are doing so well. And what a good mom Apple is, even adopting that third "puppy". Cavs really are the very sweetest dogs in the world. Thank you so much for taking the time to share these videos with the youtube world.

Apple is pretty amazing to let Bootsie so close! She is such a good mamma it’s a shame her milk supply isn’t good. And Watson is determined to do everything first! Such a tiny boy and he’s an achiever!!! Sherlock is content growing, eating, and sleeping!😅

All your care and hard work has paid off. They look great and what a good momma Apple is. I can’t help thinking about the tri color puppy that was still born. I wish he was there with them but these things happen. Fortunately, you were able to do what was needed to help Watson and Sherlock thrive. I can’t wait to see how these boys develop and if you are happy with their conformation. If so, perhaps another litter is in Apples future! Thank you Black Fire Cavaliers!

Oh happy day, opening eyes! The puppies’ original “X” sleeping position has evolved to a sort of “T” position. Must be more comfortable with their nice round bellies. Love seeing Bootsie visit and Apple’s toleration. Such a darling Cavalier family! Congratulations on all your work and careful interventions that have brought it about!

Who is/was Bootsie’s mother? Just wondering if you have 4 generations. Those puppies are changing every day. Love their cute little black noses!

Bootsie's mom - the puppies' great grandmother - is Boo, so we have 4 generations living in our house right now.

General question: what do you do about trimming Cavs nails (puppies and adults) and when. They are very wiggly, makes it difficult to work safely.
@chaskat3524 күн бұрын
For very young pups, I use a cat nail trimmer, which is small enough to do the job while I hold the pup as still as possible. For older dogs, I use a pliers-type of trimmer. In either case, I can make sure the trimmer is in precisely the right position before making the cut.

@chaskat3522 күн бұрын
