I'm in training as a dog trainer, "100% positive" training. That makes some people think I'm part of the 'woke' crowd. Not true. I refer to all methods because I just want what's best for the dog. Simply put, I used to train in MMA. You quickly learn to use what works best, not what 'sounds' best. I keep coming back to Fenrir because on top of what I know, and what I'm learning, Fenrir's got it right. MMA taught me to never close my mind. Investigate everything, find what works best.

But what about if you can’t take your dog out yet? I have a 9 week old who’s been on FULL BLAST for the past 4 nights straight… she will go in her crate on her own for her toys, treats, naps. I never had to lure into her to learn her crate. In the day time she’s the best, but at night totally different story… I’ve never seen a dog bark, scream and howl until the am hours… literally going on to almost 5am every morning this week.

I've been wanting a rottie, but I'm not sure if its a good time to get one now with all the lockdowns, might lead to seperation anxiety when things start to open back up. Since he'd grow up being used to me being in the house 24/7, to leaving for 9 hours a day out of nowhere
@OddiTheOni4 жыл бұрын
Hey Dano! For me the lockdown was very helpful in my rottie's puppy stage. I had the same thoughts on separation anxiety. I think if you do get a dog in lockdown, you have to have some separation training everyday. Time where you and the dog are separated. Make it fun for the dog. Hide treats in the room. Put a frozen Kong in there as well. You want the dog to have a great time by himself. Then he'll be excited when you leave. This works with crate training as well. But never go to him if he is whining. That will cause a cycle that is hard to break.

@@OddiTheOni yeah that sounds like a good idea alright, I'll definitely think about that, I just have to convince the other people living here that they also want to live with a rottweiler! Thanks

I'm a bus driver and I kinda wish I had gotten a pup while I was unemployed. Lie he said in the video, real separation anxiety is unusual. It's more often the dog learning bad behaviors to get what he wants. This breed is made for guarding property while the owner is away. I don't think they are naturally prone to separation anxiety like say a beagle.

I'm getting a puppy and I want to avoid these problems before they happen. This one and training them to stay within the fence are my biggest concerns
@willathertonrottieshow17213 жыл бұрын
I'm pleased to stay that fact you're starting to look into how to fix this problem is a great sign. Make sure you do you research and start the training as soon as you bring your puppy home. Good luck!

Hey will did u know that Rottwielers in history have been used at baiting bulls and also hunted rabbit foxes,and caught boars.this was when they kept the rottwieler within 80-95 lbs for males needed them quick and they had long endurance. The smaller ones were the ones used in wars. Now they are bread for bigger bone more weight.but it just shows how versatile the breed is.

Exercising a dog at 4am so i can leave for my job by 5.... Ouch But I gotta do what I gotta do I'm told to seriously limit Rottweiler puppy exercise to prevent future joint issues. How much exercise should an 8 week old puppy get?
@kayreid45523 жыл бұрын
Hi ash, we have a rottie too, we are goin by the rule of 5 mins per every month they are alive, twice a day so at 8 weeks youre sayin 10 mins exercise twice a day x hope that helps x

@@AshGreen359 I’m Not sure to Be honest I think it’s until they are adult but with a rottie that is 18-24 months x I’ll ask the question. I’m on a Facebook group called Rottweiler lovers and owners UK, brilliant group. I’ll ask there and let you know. Feel free to join :)

Hi ash, so I asked the question and you usually do the 5min per month rule until They are about 12 months :) x Learn something new every day :) x

I want a Rottweiler puppy but idk if I should anytime soon. I’ll be moving next month and I found a litter due that’ll be ready in February. Ik I can be ready for the puppy by then but around April I’ll be deploying for 6 months. Do you think I should jus hold off til after the deployment to get a puppy or would it be fine.
