At 2:21...The PUR 3 LED sensor on top of lid is a TIMER, nothing more, nothing less! It does nothing to the filtered water at all. It only visually NOTIFIES you depending on which color flashes, the status of the filter. Basically when it’s time to change the filter after about 40 gallons consumed. It is sealed. Also, please DO NOT hold down the button for 5-6 seconds as demonstrated in the video to “check” the filter status! By doing this, you are resetting the timer every time! Utilize the pour indicator LED to check filter status ONLY. In addition, at 4:18, DO NOT just drop the filter in “like that” and proceed with filling. You need to TWIST IN the filter clockwise to seat it properly, THEN fill the blue tub with H2O and let it do its thing!

I purchased a water filtration pitcher like the one you are speaking of. Love your enthusiasm and enjoyment of the product; however, it literally takes 12 hours for water to filter down to the pitcher. I drink a lot of water and can't wait that long to have fresh water.

Jake I’ve been using these pitchers for years and have come to realize the filters themselves can be faulty at times to the point it takes for ever to filter, I stay away from the ones that come in gold wrappers. You should try another filter. Also when installing the filter make sure you twist it in, instead of just dropping it in like the video.

You twist clockwise the filter. It will be align and wont move. You just put it there without locking it in place. I got mine today. The light is what Idk if its working because to me looks yellow and not green🤷🏻‍♀️.

mine is doing the same thing. No green light. The first light and only light that has ever come on is the yellow light only. I cannot get the green light to come on no matter what I do. Anyone out there have any advice?

The filter that came with the pitcher is different on mine. Mine sucks!! It isn’t cone shaped so the entire contents of the blue pan filter. The filter goes up an inch or so. The water filters through 2 slits at the top. It leaves half the tray unfiltered. What crap. I usually use the one that you hook into the faucet. But I couldn’t figure out how to do it on the sink in my new place.

Good rule of thumb. After washing picture with soapy water and rinsing off. You are supposed to submerge filter into a glass or bowl that will cover the filter completely for 30 mins-45. Then rinse off filter. Run a complete cycle through and wait until it fills up and then start fresh after dumping your test cycle. This basically starts you off fresh and gets any bacteria run through and filtered out before you start with your first cup. Enjoy! Thank you bud

Yes simply because you are ridding any bacteria that’s in your first usage inside your filter area and the actual filter packaging may have loose charcoal or foreign debris inside, It’s the best method of sterilization before using. After the first run through, pour out all water that’s been filtered. Refill again and now you are ready. I have 2 these and My children has them. I use mostly for coffee and tea. I have drank this water and it’s pleasant tasting compared to My town’s tap water. I do have plenty of Poland and Dear Park water cases. But this filtering system works excelled. Just keep track of when you need to change it. Repeat process and away you go

I got Brita for a relative instead bc it was the only one available at the time but I might get them the Pur pitcher or have them return the Brita 18 cup dispenser they just received & get them Pur instead. Only thing is Brita 18cup dispenser filters the water in 8 minutes supposedly but Pur 18 cup dispenser w ultra lead filter takes 115 min (almost 2 hrs) from what I saw in a video. @@jenniferh.7219 Bless you and they go a long way saving money. If you can. Take a sample of you water before and after and test it yourself. They have little kits very easy to do. This way you can tell what's actually happening. Some people don't wanna know. But most people don't even know they can do this. You'll be amazed. Lead nasty stuff!! I hope everything works out. Is it normal for it to take about 10 minutes for the water to filter through? This one seems to filter much slower than other brands. Maybe that means Superior filter capability I don't know, however my Brita would take about 2-3 minutes to filter one full reservoir

I used a Pur for several years. Woked fine for years. They new and improved the filters. I bought a 3 pack. The first worked for 2 weeks. The other 2 don't work at all. Junk. I will buy a Brita.
