I understand what youre saying and id agree for like 95% of deathcon but the last 7 minutes of earthmover (which is the most important part of the album) despite the lyrics prior do feel like dying but somewhat in a good way, it feels so cathartic. Its like your life flashing and no matter how bad it was it still feels nostalgic, you cant wait to reach the otherside even tho you know there is nothing there.

I remember listening to this version of Long Season and just being laughing because they just seem to be cartoonishly pulling a new instrument out of nowhere every 2 minutes and I say this with a lot of love for it.

I remember on two tabs i smoked a bowl on the peak, big mistake, got blasted into the fourth dimension unexpectedly. Scrambling for something to calm my nerves i put on long season. Fishmans is still one of my fav bands to trip to, i listened to this live record in full a couple trips before that one and the entire performance was magical, was hearing the instruments as if they were colours.

I'm a huge hiker, walking for 10-20 and plus hours at times just enjoying the views, the air, and of course the music that follows me. Of these hundreds of albums, listening to this record for the first time 13 months ago, around 22pm to midnight, all alone in the french autumnal countryside, just dreaming and swimming under an awe-inspiring ceiling of stars, was one of the best musical experiences I will have ever lived I believe. I recommend everyone to just go for walks (doesn"t need to be so stupidly long), and enjoy music that way from time to time. It's such a wonderful way of experiencing the art.

Absolutely. Long walks (I personally do 3 to 5 hours ones) are a magnificent moment to listen to albums. Albums like this are for special occasions tho (like walking in the early morning between 5-6 A.M) but it makes the whole ride completely dream-like and lets you just feel like you are floating, not walking. Getting hit by the first rays of bedazzling golden light from the sun with this on is just *chef's kiss*.

Couldn’t agree more! my most magical music experience was walking around a park at 2 am in a legit snow storm listening to F# A# (god speed you black emperor) This was the first time hearing the live version of this song. STELLA, blew me away.

I always listen to music while riding on my bike. Right after I heard this album for the first time on stream, I got on my bike, started riding towards a huge nature reserve not too far from where I live, and replayed the whole album again. It was a great experience, but I’d like to do it again at some place further away from home.

Long Season is so important to me, it encapsulates so perfectly a type of nostalgia I feel about life, it really is so perfect to me, I never thought the day would come when Brad listens to this, I feel so lucky to live in a world where this song exists. It makes me feel such a weird mix of emotions that this was the last thing Fishmans did before the lead singer passed away. Now, he will always be remembered.

i listened to this album last night, thanks to this video coming out. it was fucking transcendent. like, by the end of long season i was half asleep and all i could think of was the music. im glad i decided to listen on my own instead of with Brad lol there's some point in Long Season where these drums come in, and holy shit those were like the best drums I've ever heard mixed with the synth was INCREDIBLE only complaint was the sine wave synth could've been quieter

Listened to this album for the first time today, so I could watch Brad's video without getting spoiled and I literally have no words to describe just how wonderful and otherworldly this entire album, especially long season, is. I'll always associate this album with a wonderful woman whom I loved very dearly. Every guitar passage and synth line just washes over me when I close my eyes. Like falling into a moving painting where the colors meld into a swirl of comforting hues. To be lost in something so hauntingly beautiful that you don't want to open your eyelids yet cause there's knowledge that the serenity itself is temporary. As much as I dream about that time in my life, I'm forever grateful for the context that it provides me. That I was able to experience something so amazing and life changing by being there at the right time.
