Many people misunderstood the real meaning of "let go" or unattach. " Let Go " does not mean asking us to give up our job, our social life, our hobbies, our family etc. How can one survive without income? How can one influence others about Pureland Buddhism if you don't socialize? How can you persuade your own family to learn Buddhism if there is no harmony? We are born into this world only for one purpose. To transcend the reincarnation and attain Buddhahood. We can't live alone. We need the surrounding to asses our progress. What's the point of hiding alone up in a mountain and one's mind is wandering about everything down the hill? "Let Go" means retaining nothing in our mind. The mind is free of emotion and issues. One goes about with the daily life, do our best what we need to do and nothing is retain in our mind after it's done. The mind has only Amitabha Buddha. Keeping the mind pure. This is practicing of letting go. Let go is not asking us to give up or be detached.

Life is Nothing but an Illusion. Don't Get Attached and no need to fuss over it. Legendary Chinese novel " Huang Liang Meng" is very interesting. A poor disciple was falling asleep in a Taoist temple then have a dream. The Taoist Priest was quiet knowledgeable. He cooked porridge there. The disciple fell asleep. Once awakened from his dream, more or less decades had passed. He dreamed of taking exams, did well in the exam. He passed the exams and become a palace government official. He managed to have his revenge on people who wronged him and also managed to return favor to people who were good to him. Until finally in his old age, it looked like he became a minister. He retired back to his village with great honor. Once awakened, just realized the porridge was not even cooked yet. The priest joked with him. How does it feel ? Living a wealthy life, how does it feel? He suddenly realized it was all nothing but a dream. Human life is truly like a dream. 100 years passed by in a blink of an eyes. Knowing that life is just a dream there's nothing to fuss about, don't get attached. Attachments are troublesome burdens in life. Make sure you are longer bound by karmic relationships with others, it is really useless. Karmic bonds should be disconnected, not deepened, for us to succeed birth in Pureland. Knowing that life is only temporary. Human connections are not a simple a matter. No matter is it virtuous or evil, good or bad, no need to fuss about it. Face them with our sincere and compassionate mind. The evil doing of others, let us reply with kindness. Hoping to lead him back on the right path. As long as we know them, it means we have karmic bond. If there is karmic bond, then we have to help them. When he was confused or perplexed it might be difficult for him to accept our sharing. It's okay, still set a good example to him. Slowly but sure, he will be awakened. Once his awareness awakened, he will understand. The most effective way to neutralize all karmic obstructions and bonds is greeting Amituofo with others. By constantly greeting each others with Amituofo all karmic obstructions and bonds will be neutralized. Neutralize all conditions, everything will smoothen in our daily life. Best to practice it is within one's family.

"Letting go of attachment" is one form of desire. But a 'wholesome' one. Just be aware of attaching to the desire of "letting go of attachment". Some things are subtle and we need to be aware. Don't chase your own tail and run around in circle and when all efforts are exhausted, you still find yourself in the same spot (not being able to let go of attachment). By being simply aware of the desire of "letting go of attachment" or the desire to "attain enlightenment" or the desire to "attain " is in itself a form of attachment, we would have progressed from our spot. There is nothing wrong with 'wholesome' attachment. While we are practicing, we need 'wholesome' attachment as driving/motivating force. But when we reached an 'advanced' stage, when we seem 'exhausted' and find no meaningful progress in our practice, when we feel like giving up, think back to what I said here and the following: There is nothing to let go. There is nothing to attain. All forms are empty in nature and illusory. Letting go of something that do not exist (permanently) and attaining something that do not exist (permanently) is like trying to travel to the edge of the earth when the earth is round in nature. You will never achieve your goal of trying to reach the edge of the earth. You will end up going around in circle because you have not realized the true nature of the earth. And for Buddhism perspective, the true nature of form is emptiness which render form illusory. Realize this and you will not go around in circle (of samsaric existence).

Yes it's indeed true all is emptiness in nature and this is indeed the more "advanced state", not easily understood by most. For most people one has to apply effort (much effort) in the beginning to help overcome habitual tendencies. For people with extremely good roots then they can go for Shunyata (Chan approach) but this is not for most people. It's one thing to talk about Shunyata, another thing to actually embody it entirely in every moment of our life. One has to be a Buddha to completely embody Shunyata, to perceive things as they are without attachment and separation. And all talks are mere convenience. Amituofo 🙏

Where do we reside our mind? Most of us, our minds are attach with our body all the times. My opinion, my ideas, my view, my preference, these are minds belonging to the Six Realms. Our mind should reside in Amituofo regardless of what we are doing. There is no conflict between mindfulness of Amituofo and our works. If one can develop this good habit, then one has attain Gong Fu Chen Bien. The built-in skill of chanting Amituofo. One is able to suppress one's worries and reduce one's wandering thoughts. This is the first stage of pure mind.

There are two kinds attitude when people listen to Buddha's teachings One says, the Buddha is telling others. One says the Buddha's teachings is directed to me and he is talking to me personally. If listeners say its for others, then they will miss the benefits. If listener say the Buddha is personally teaching him, then the listener will receive tremendous benefits. Buddha's Teachings is dharma of equality. Dharma of equality is the absolute truth. When dharma has differentiation of deep or shallow, high or low then the dharma is false. The success in Buddha's teachings is on "let go". How much one can let go, it is how much one will gain. One let go of attachment, one attain Arhatship. One let go of discrimination, one become a Bodhisattva. One let all wandering thoughts, discrimination and attachments one will sees one true self-nature and attain Buddhahood. Who has such ability? Everyone has the capability of achieving it. It's those who don't want take up the responsibility then there is nothing the Buddha can do. So the Buddha will wait until when one's affinity is fully mature. Wait for one to be awakened and wait for one to be ready to be a responsible person. Buddha will wait even for infinite eons to help us. Ask yourself, do have such kind of inconsiderate heart to let the Buddha wait such a long time for you? We all must understand, all of us have the Buddha's root and Buddha's nature. All of us can become Arhat, Bodhisattva or Buddha. It's whether you want or don't want. The conditions for transcending the Six Realms is very simple. One has no love for the Six Realms, one is free from it. As long as one still has liking for the Six Realms, and not ready to let everything, one will forever be trapped in it.

The sutra mentioned causal relationship between three lifetimes. Ignorance and Karma are cause from past lives. It was because the causality from past lives that you were born into this life. Vinnana is consciousness or called soul. Soul comes into fetus. Looking for parents, whose have connection with him/her. There are gratitude, resentment or debt. Because all of these relationships, they come into this world. Without it, they won't be born and they won't be looking for you. Therefore, children are bound by fate. It is said that " Husband and Wife are destined". There are good fate, bad fate, and mutual retaliation. This is the relation for husband and wife. Children are debt. They either lend or return. Without debt, there will be no children. Therefore, in this lifetime, we need to be able to see through everything and not fuss about it. So that you may be able to decide to release yourself from the Six Realms of Samsara. To restrain yourself from repeatedly making this stupid mistakes.

🌟🕯What is the Buddhist view on the idea of God? If Buddhism doesn't have any serious point of view on the idea of God then is it an Agnostic Faith or an Atheist Faith?📿🪔

I will share a video about this soon. Basically in Buddhism there isn't an external creator absolute who creates everything (God in this sense). Our mind/heart creates everything. If there's God it would be our mind. We create our heavens and hells (more on this later). Amituofo 🙏

If I remember correctly what I have read in Buddhist Sutra many days back, I recall the sutra mentioned that Buddha's approach is quite pragmatic and straightforward. In fact, there are many other questions that people asked Buddha back then. Some of the questions, Buddha has not answered but kept a golden silence. What Buddha told them is that he teach the Dharma to help sentient beings realize the true nature of things which will elevate their 'suffering'. Any questions or issues that do not related to this so-called 'agenda', it is distraction and do not help them progress on the path of practice. Just like someone who is suffering and dying after being shot by an arrow in the chest, the immediate 'agenda' is to first save the individual. It would be a distraction to ask questions that do not pertain to saving the individual like asking 'Who shoot the arrow?'. There is another aspect worth considering. If a question is answered and the answer cannot be verified, then there is still a shadow of doubt whether the answer is indeed true. Therefore the answer will fail to address the concern of the questions since it carries a dose of unverifiable uncertainty. Buddha's approach is always to go for things that can be verified and he want his students to verify for themselves what he has said and not accept it unconditionally. His teaching is pertaining to elevating 'suffering' and how much oneself suffer, oneself can verified without a shadow of a doubt. Oneself can verify clearly whether his 'suffering' has been elevated after practicing what Buddha has taught. That is why I say Buddha approach is very pragmatic and straightforward.

There is no creator god but I think it’s interesting to point out the view of Sunyata in Buddhism and the view of dharmakaya. In Hinduism the pure consciousness that transcends all sense perceptions is called atman(soul) which is also connected to and is Brahman (god) . Sunyata or emptiness is the same as a Hindu meditator would describe practicing jnana yoga and dwelling in that of the soul (atman) . Dharmakaya , The dharmakāya is one of the three bodies of a buddha in Mahāyāna Buddhism. The dharmakāya constitutes the unmanifested, "inconceivable" aspect of a buddha out of which buddhas arise and to which they return after their dissolution. Sogyal Rinpoche writes: Absolute nature is the dharmakaya, the ‘empty’, unconditioned truth, into which illusion and ignorance, and any kind of concept, have never entered... So this could also be compared to atman and Brahman that transcends illusion and maya. Thus, I like to say it as this.. Buddhism finds god through internal work rather then external worship such as Bhakti in the Hindu tradition. Or a religion such as Christianity. Instead it is just pure consciousness which when dwelt in is samadhi and when one with is eternity, which is nirvana. The kingdom of god, as explained in Christianity. So even as one who doesn’t believe in any supernatural or celestial force can practice Theravada Buddhism and without knowing it is finding god whether you want to word it as such through their inner most parts. Buddhism is the most effective way to reach eternal bliss and enlightenment/salvation in my eyes. It is straight forward and gives you all you need. Even a mind which isn’t very open can practice Buddhism and still liberate from all suffering and find eternal perfection. Pure land Buddhism is the fastest and easier path to nirvana and is effective to all sentient beings who practice nianfo and other pure land practices. All religions are a pathway to god or eternal stillness and that which is empty but not empty. Full but not filled. It is just as it is. Whether through external worship of the source or internal works and oneness with such, it is all working towards the same goal of eternal liberation...

@@dhammmaraja I think she was just kidding. As for Christians, they will say that anything that doesn't look like them is a sign of the end of times, so please don't fall for it. As long as they have lived, they have labelled "devilish" just about anything, from being left-handed to going to the theater to divorce and women's rights to being gay to rock and pop music. It's all the devil's thing, a sign of the end of times, untill they begin to have their own tv shows, their own rock and pop music, their own women preaching etc.

*Why burden yourself with attachment and be the biggest loser?* So long as you deal with everything, everyone and every objects with discrimination or attachment, you should be aware that you are seriously perplexed. Anything you do will lead to your degeneration. You will not be able to escape from the reincarnation of the Six Realms. So, avoid opposing to anything or anybody and avoid all arguments. If one still opposed to anything or anybody, or have conflicts, you will obstruct yourself to be reborn in Pureland. That's to say, you are dragging yourself to the three bad realms. Others would not be harmed, it's you that would be harmed. You should understand this principle. How to transcend the reincarnation? You should try as much as possible not to be attached to anybody, anything or any object. No more attachment. After you are really unattach to anybody, anything or any object in the world, you can transcend the reincarnation of the Six Realms. As long as you have even a bit of attachment you definitely can't get out of the Six Realms. Why do you want to burden yourself with attachment? If you are still attach, others has nothing to lose, you are to be the biggest loser. Both discrimination and attachments lead to a great lost for yourself has nothing to do with others.
