So cool, your turtle is adorable! Love that she's getting along with the swordtails, the tank looks really nice with them. Btw, the peeling skin is actually kind of a normal thing for turtles. Yes, shedding excessively is not good, but a little shed here or there is natural and a sign of growth - as with most reptiles :)

Oh, I didn't know that! I was so worried the water temperature was too high for the turtle. Thanks for the input. :)

Please somebody answer why does this turtle not have 3 stripes on its back? Is it because it's a baby?
@mckricks15 жыл бұрын
@@backupemail4837 I think some have more prominent stripes than others

be careful about adding another turtle, they may not get along and you'd have to separate them. i had this problem with my two razorback musk's purchased as hatchlings. after a few months one started getting aggressive and now I have two tanks when I only wanted 1 enclosure. Question: how are the real plants holding up with him? is he digging them up, are they lasting? thanks for the video!

I have 5 feeder goldfish and two algae eaters in with my baby mud. He's only the size of a quarter. He doesn't bother them. The fish actually peck at his feet at times.

These type of turtles arent the best deep swimmers. I added a bunch of water in my tank and they struggled a lot. I then looked up the breed and it says they prefer shallower water.
@omarmartinez72775 жыл бұрын
This breed is a poor swimmer but as long as it has climbing points it will be fine. These guys will typically just catch the fish that aren't doing well. You can mix up their diet with the pellets, but any form of scrap meat, or bugs. Worms are good too.they also like to scavange for food. So placing treats in different points of the tank, will motivate him to get around. But you can definitely add more water.
