This was VERY well explained. The overlay pictures, bubble jar, and the wood block were really nice touches and really helped me visualize the process.

The boiling point is 208 C ..... purge and trap would not work with what I consider the normal parameters.

The bubbling is no different than blowing through a straw. The rate is fairly high......maybe as high as 50 ml a minute....no pressure

Right... Helium is a byproduct of the natural gas industry. I think that is interesting. But it is something of a limited resource. There is nothing wrong with using nitrogen. In Europe they use nitrogen.
