Hi Bavarian.
@bavarian_rc2 жыл бұрын
@g.i.x-faktor48462 жыл бұрын
Hab neue bestellt. Ich hoffe die kommt Montag. Foliere also erstmal die Winglets.

Weiterhin viel Erfolg!!!
@g.i.x-faktor48462 жыл бұрын

This little kit looks like a great refresher for sure, and nowadays with electrics being as dependable and fun as they are, I sure would like one of these! at 8:40 or so, what!? no hot sock on that iron!? Buy, you're brave! ;) What a great covering job. Not much more rewarding and almost instantly gratifying than doing a slick covering job! Looking great so far.. That's a pretty slick sticker making outfit ya got there too. What a cool little wing! Looking forward to the maiden flight video.

Sounds like it is more than time for you to start again a new build 😃 My good old more than 30 years old Graupner iron has never let me down. Honestly I don‘t like using a hot sock. As long as I keep an eye on the correct temperature it always worked out… almost 😜 Great that you liked the covering job. It was taking almost more time than the rest of the build. But I’d rather spend more time and then have a result that looks exactly as I want it. The maiden flight was last Monday and went pretty well. This little wing is quite fast and can turn almost on the spot. Doing a flight video will be a challenge… this thing is so small!

@@bavarian_rc I've found while doing those nice neat, 'corner folding' jobs with monocote, that's when the adhesive can get on the iron surface and then get on other bits of covering. (wish I could post a picture here) I also have one of those smaller, tiny irons for really tucking in to the small areas as well.

@bavarian_rc2 жыл бұрын

@bavarian_rc2 жыл бұрын
Unbedingt anschauen!

I think you speak about the covering film? It is Oracover covering film. It has a hotmelt glue on one side that is activated by the heat of the iron. It is the best cover film I have used so far.

Yes the iron has a kind of teflon coating. A normal iron can also be used if you wrap a thin layer of cotton around the iron.
