What a wonderful Advent treat your woolly countdown is. I discovered you on Instagram and I’ve binged days 1 to 11 over two days as I hurry to finish my last Christmas make. I need to get it in the post by Friday (It’s Wednesday today). I’m crocheting a Knitty Critters Frog for my great niece. I feel as though I’m sitting around a table with friends. Love the blanket yarns for the knit along, sounds like so much fun. I always thought it was so odd that my gramma always had a Kleenex in her sleeve, but now that I’m 71yo, I get it. I always carry a tissue in my pocket. Only one, don’t load up. IYKYK 😂 Love your project, Anne. 😊

I commute to NYC by car daily now but I will never forget my first time driving here - in my early 20s, I had a roommate with a much newer and nicer car than I’d ever had who needed a ride to the airport on a Friday afternoon. The payoff was access to the car for the weekend. It was a true baptism by fire but everyone survived, there were no scratches or tickets and I was able to check out some hiking trails north of the city I wouldn’t have gotten to otherwise. I have a number of friends who are native New Yorkers who don’t learn to drive until they became adults and/or had kids. That would really freak me out - being a new driver with kids in the back. There is something to be said about learning to drive during the naive, invincible teenage years.

I hope you can get Woolens and Nosh back on in the New,Year. I'm loving my advent kit, but I'm still very confused about the colour repeats. Once I got you Jana's Day 4, I then have her Day 3, then her Day 5-10 in the same order, but my next colour is not the same as her Day 11. Because I knit my heels with the main yarn, I'm currently knitting my day 14. Very cool that it is still a mystery! After we're all done knitting I'd love to know how they put these together! It is so much fun!

Oh-oh. After teaching 38 years, where I had no time to go get one, I'm still a pocket person for a tissue; however, the right pocket is only for clean ones! 🙃

I always put a clean tissue in my sleeve when I have a runny nose. I put the dirty tissues in the trash. Anne, I think it's a cowl? You ladies are too funny!!! Love that!!! Anne I had a dog that walked along the wall and he was sick, I had to put him down.😢 Jana, I looked up the superstition about not starting anything on Friday. I read that it may be due to Jesus being born on a Friday? Thank you for your videos!!
