you have a great voice and amazing songs. however the person doing the engineering is not really good for you. the mic has a peak in the frequency range that is not flattering to your voice (he should pic a different ic, different preamp and play with the distance, pattern and such. not having the right reverb and a bit of delay, and i mean just a hint, just enough to keep the intimacy but add a little sparkle, is a problem. like ams program 4. really any reverb where the reflections have been removed, so you can not identify the space, but still get the effect.

Shelley Segal thank you so much for that. i came across you in the theme song of the atheist experience, and enjoy your songs very much. there is a lot of improvement in the song you linked. that was a different mic, probably a better mic pre, but i am still not happy with the way they are doing the dynamics and the reverb on the voice. please know, i am only making observations about what the engineer is doing, and only personal preferences on that. i am listening in a studio listening environment, i doubt most people with computers would be picking up on these things. btw, the solo in the song is awesome. is he doing it on a violin trying to mimic a sax? just great.

The violinist is playing on an electric and she is just phenomenal! She also does a lot of work with loops and is in a band called The Twoks :)

You're amazing. I'm glad you're an atheist. Almost everybody I know is religious and they pray for everything, all the time... I find it illogical. When I ask them questions about all the contradictions of the bible and prayer itself, they simply have no response, the denial runs so deep that they just stonewall me.
