I see in so many of the comments acknowledging his passing, words of distress and sadness. Some speaking of how they would have liked to meet him or we needed people like him, or he was too young and it is sad he chose to leave. Can I offer a gentle suggestion that you use this as a gift that shines a light on the idea of not waiting to talk to people, whether strangers or friends and ask them the real questions of life. Not what their instagram is but what makes their heart beat faster, what touches them to the deepest part of their soul. Don't wait to meet people based on whether you think they might be worthy, but assume everyone is worthy and has something to offer given an opportunity. Don't just ask for the gifts that others share, so that you can feel better but offer them something back, because I guarantee you have something to share and a balance of giving and receiving will expand our consciousness. When you pass a stranger, look them in the eyes....it doesn't matter if you are wearing a mask, eyes smile and are truly the window into the soul so connect.....and don't wait until it is too late to find the wisdom and beauty that surrounds you in every moment. 💚

My wife and me were shocked of his passing. Almost everyday morning, we switch on your channel and listen to what Eduardo said. He is our mentor. Every word he spoken seeps to our heart and mind. When we felt down, we listen to him. The words are so impactful that really inspire us to live with purpose. We spread his inspiration to our friends who are lost in purpose. This is where I am at in life...I am in a career that gives me money but I don't enjoy. He talks about going even if you're scared but that's what holding me back. God has led someone into my life that has changed my perspectives on life and I'm glad for that. I am looking forward to the time when it doesn't matter which day of the week it is. I aways wanted to be an artist, when I was young, pursued it all my life and pretty good at it...but the frustrating thing is, a lot of stories like this and in the new age areana, law of attraction, etc. Make it sound like it happened overnight. I'm still not able to make a career out of my art, despite studying and doing this for thirty years, every day, week and year I do all I can to stick with it and follow my heart....but, not seeing much help from the universe and nothing much I do, pays off, I do everything including making art, business and marketing side. The reality is, often the people in these and other stories are financially free, they've either built up a nest egg by doing something they don't enjoy or they have a partner, who works, whilst they pursue their dream.

true story. we always need to be careful when talking about purpose and thrive on such an unequal and challenging capitalist cruel paradigm. but i think what he means is, dont forget about the light that drives you, keep that inside you, cause that can give meaning to things. i believe we are in a transition world, dancing on roses and spines, but the resistance is on the capability of not giving up on dreaming, even when we cannot put the dreams in practice as we wish.

Hey David! Thanks for posting . Sounds like you have the heart of a true artist. Maybe as an artist it's not about the destination but the journey 😊. The fact that you continue to create art for 30 years even though you are unable to make a living at it means you are brave and the true passion and fire in you to create is not just for money but for yourself. It's kinda like an organic energy that has to be expressed one way or the other . Too many people are afraid to even try because of failure but the fact you do it anyway 😊... I feel you David. Its very easy to change direction to a purposeful existence when financially secure. I, too have been living a purposeful life for the past 9 yrs. Its been an absurd and epic nomadic journey of designing an economic ecosystem that uplifts the poor. To do so I have had to live like the majority - poor. No car, no set income and no home. a life driven by the Divine to show me how the poor are forced to live to fully understand their daily struggles, emotional obstacles and the dire way in which the rich have secured life for themselves, unconcerned for the rest. The diabolical state of life for the majority has often meant much despair for me. As an empath I feel the emotions of every person I encounter. To the extent where being within 2 kms of an informal settlement allows me to access the average emotional and mental state of residents. I have had to compromise on the way I live, haven't been able to grow veggies (a passion), no social life... no life at all really. For me to achieve my end goal of activating a Divine plan redesigning the way in which humans live, generate income and treat the planet, I have had to let go of everything. Friends, family, career... Regardless of how many times Ive wanted to give up, its impossible. I have no choice But to continue on this path. Ive had to be incredibly agile in earning income - part time jobs, pet sitting, caring for a quadriplegic... just to have a roof and some food to continue to do the research required. Needless to say Ive experienced far too many hungry days, far too many days of living in unsavoury, dangerous situations, far too many rich have turned their backs on me. It is insane that the Universe doesnt seem to take care of those of us in dire situations. But... she does. We are HERE. We are enlightened. We are more Whole and in tune with the divine than those who live a financially secure existence. We must remain in absolute faith that our journey has had immense (if unseen) impact on the people, places and animals we've encountered. Becoming Food secure is an absolute priority for every human so that money doesnt matter anymore. Strength, my friend. Have faith that Your time is near. I guarantee you that many who have money are a LOT less content than you and I who have a wholesome purpose.

Abra, thank you for sharing as I find myself relating very much to what you have said. This video has had a massive impact on me, where I feel such a deep sense of loss about Eduardos passing even though I didn't know him. There were a few things he said that made me feel a strong connection with him....he came across as such a genuine and authentic soul. His words inspired me and gave me hope that I might find a way to battle through crippling mental health problems through doing what I love, which is healing with flower essences. If anything, his passing lends even more potency to his message as he still managed to contribute in a substantial way, live his life by sharing a truly uplifting message. He has achieved way more than I have as my sensitivity is so crippling at times, I end up isolating myself as everything is too much. Like you said, sometimes it's so hard to find anything to hold onto. It makes you realise that despite having one of the most beautiful smiles and deep, soulful eyes, there can be intolerable levels of pain that is too much to bear. I get this pain and understand it on a deep level. If I'm to try and delve into this video to try and take away something positive and comforting, I'm going to think about what Eduardo was hoping to pass on. The best way to honour him and his legacy is to find our way through the darkness, maybe even take a chance and connect with others to support each other? What a beautiful wise soul ! I too, watched this twice. Eduardo's physical presence may have left this world but he will live forever on in this beautiful video. This, I think, was his purpose too ... thru this short and powerful video, to wake untold numbers of human beings to a truth of life and their own purpose here on earth. I wonder how many of us have done this....change our world trying to find ourselves through life and peace for our hearts. The fight between heart and mind is a constant thing....but it gets quieter for me when I read things like this man's passing. He seemed too young for that. Thing is, we can figure out how much money we have but we'll never know how much time we have. It could be years or it could be minutes. I think, before falling asleep each night, we should ask ourselves "If I don't wake up tomorrow, will I have regrets about the path I've taken in my life?" If the answer is no, then we will have done well and it was a life well lived. Sleep well, Eduardo Shimahara.

I met Shima very briefly back in Sweden while he was teaching at YIP, but his passion for teaching, young people and life in general will stay with me for a long time. Since, I was a teenager. I always wanted to be a teacher. Unfortunately, I was not able to continue with school and I had to get a job as a mechanic. I like to work on cars, good money too. I do not feel the time; I can spend hours working on cars. 2 years ago, I had the chance to go back to school to finish what I really love which is teaching, but I am afraid that it may be too late but it is better late than never.

When being scared becomes comforting, the reality that your time to change is long passed but not wasted. Now that comfort in all is present just stop. Feel, breath, think, meditate, just slow down, slow WAY down. Take off your shoes and put your feet in the hot dirt, meet a sunset like it is a date. Sit down look at it not directly obviously but just observe it and understand your role in this life is beyond your struggles, it is far beyond them.
