How did your journey go? I just got myself a push. Any particularly good tutorials or anything you know of?
@oldowl42902 жыл бұрын
My biggest question about the Push is what sets it apart from just using something like the Launchpad Pro along with a display/monitor and PC (or laptop). I mean if you have to hook it up to Ableton anyway and take your laptop to a gig, it just seems like this is hardware that's overkill and or can be replaced with stuff that's, in general, 75% cheaper. I'm obviously not that familiar with it, but what makes it so special or a "must have" piece of gear if you are an Ableton user?
@LNADoesAudioStuff2 жыл бұрын
The biggest difference is that it is literally a physical version of Live. So it is mostly automatically mapped and it can do a lot more than other controllers can.

Hi Lina, is there a way to change all colors of the pads, want to use a color pallet for notes, like Red for C orange for D...

Hi LNA, is it possible to combine both Push 2 and a Novation Launch Control XL to control an Ableton Live set in Session View? So for example, use the Push 2 to control the scenes, moving up/down in the Session View, triggering each sample with the buttons etc. as you showed in your video. At the same time, can Novation Launch Control XL be used to control the Sends and Returns, and the Pans, and the Volume faders on each track? Assume 8 columns across for the tracks since both Push 2 and Launch Control XL are setup with 8 channels (columns) across their respective MIDI controller. I am just curious if you have seen or experimented with this type of MIDI controller setup for an Ableton Live set. As a side note, I have been able to get the Push 2 or the Novation Launch Control XL to play a Live Session (using just one controller at a time), but so far I have not been able to figure out if/how they can work together in parallel at the same time.

Thank you. Your style is rather quirky but it’s easy to understand your tutorials. On the Push 2, sometime a lot of my library doesn’t show up in my browser. I’m not sure what I’m doing to cause this. Is there a fix?
@lootcorp3 жыл бұрын
Not sure if this is the same issue, but I just encountered something similar. The issue was I was trying to browse for a sample to add to an audio track, apparently your sample library will only show everything when adding to a MIDI track. So try adding a Simpler to a track and then browse your library, maybe that will fix your problem!

Hi, just purchased my Push 2 and I immediately checked out if you did some tutorials (and you did - a lot!!) this one was super useful and helpful to have a complete overview of the device!! You’re an awesome 😎 KZbin channel. Usually the songs on an album are the result of an artist's creations during a season of life. This means the songs can all speak to a similar set of themes, ideas and topics. So the aim of an album name is to try and sum up the big story/concept that all the songs pull from when they were written. It's not always like these, especially today. But traditionally, an album is like a "book" with the songs inside being like "chapters." Fun stuff! (I think 🤓) would you agree with what Nathan eswine said about why studio album 💿 are viewed as a big story LNA?
