Just a good old used small diesel tractor with no loader for powering it up and is better torque than a gas engine and having the advantage too move it around being hooked too a three point hitch would be a nice feature having conveyor and log loader all in one . For most firewood logs I think it really does do a nice job . Your tractor with the pallet forks could feed it pretty good also . Being able too have your wife run it and being safe is a nice option also . The thin blade is a really nice design . Overall you guys are doing a good job demonstrating and this machine has alot of good features for people with wood yard s and farmers or people that burn a lot of wood and sell off the extra from there wood lots . 👍👍👍

Only issue is listening to a gasoline engine straining singing at 3600 is very hard on your ears ,the mechanical thrashing is so much great than a liquid cooled diesel loafing along at 1600-2400 rpm .I agree though you want your tractor available

Pretty slick there Shifty! There is a guy in my area that rents out a similar processor, its bigger than that Japa, different brand. He puts ad's on craigslist, so one time my neighbor rented it for the weekend. I guess the guy paid 45K for it, he'll deliver it for free, and charges like $700 for the weekend. Unfortunately for my neighbor, the majority of the logs he had cut, were to short for the rack on the far end of the processor, and they kept falling through. And it rained like a cow pissing on a flat rock all weekend, so he probably regrets that decision.

This machine made is to be moved around with the Tractor and power it, it could be put in and place and have a motor power it, or get one with a motor on it, I like it, would be nice to split up to 18" logs which this model will not do, but as far as speed goes its great. Take care Shifty and Amanda
@Back40Firewood
@Back40Firewood 3 жыл бұрын
Yep, with it on the 3 point hitch I think the concept is to take the machine to the log. If it had its own power source then you’d bring the log to it. It sure does make processing small stuff a breeze.

@jimrichards8703
@jimrichards8703 3 жыл бұрын
I'll disagree, its probably 3 times faster than bucking, splitting and throwing into a pile also less effort. I'm not sold on the Japa especially without a live deck and being powered with the tractor but it is a nice entry-level machine priced the same as some commercial splitters.
@outdoorzwithcraigdz

@@jimrichards8703 Less effort ? Then hand splitting maybe lol. He spend more time man handling the logs then It would take to buck them up and split. Lift with your grapple Buck them into a pile Split and throw into a bucket or dump. Way faster my friend I would bet money on it!!!!

And I'm not talking Have a pile of logs next to the Yappa ready to go. I'm talking full process. He has to move the logs into a pile, Sort out the 12 inch or smaller ones, Then hook up the PTO for the tractor, Dropped the log then hooking up the PTO I would have that log bucked and on to splitting before the yappa is even running.
@jimrichards8703
@jimrichards8703 3 жыл бұрын
@@outdoorzwithcraigdz I'll agree there, that machine is very limited. Not one that I would consider for myself, all depends on the wood available in the area. But it is compact and could probably be taken right into the woods unlike my processor. Thanks for the comments.
@outdoorzwithcraigdz
@outdoorzwithcraigdz 3 жыл бұрын
