I have some of those 1/3 cord bags you sourced. I had some used scaffolding and made an 48 inch X brace from 3/4 metal conduit for each end, put a pallet down, and the loops on the top of the bag were a perfect fit for the corners of the scaffolding. It then holds the bag open and upright, and when full I pop the x brace off one end and pick up the bag on the pallet with the tractor forks and the loops slip up and off. Frees up the tractor and would work well with the mini conveyor on the Japa.

Looks like a quick way to get rid of the "pick up sticks" (logs you can pick up). And everyone complaining about "extra hours on the tractor", the tractor running at maybe 1/3-1/2 throttle isn't being hurt at all, and it's just engine hours, not full use hours.
@bwillan3 жыл бұрын
Better to make firewood out of "pick up sticks" than wood chips, in my humble opinion.
@Back40Firewood3 жыл бұрын
Exactly....bucking up and picking up smaller size logs & limb wood can be a PITA. Not with this. And yeah the tractor is only running at around 1800 rpm. It's only really used for firewood purposes so not sure what else to do with it....lol 😀👍🍻

I wondered why people would put the wear and tear using a pto driven unit. So I looked up the price difference between the 315 and the 365. Surprisingly it was almost the cost of a tractor. I also see that you got tired of using the loader. I think I would only order it with the live deck.
