@cantspinlikeme but if the universe is too big it converges to an average of the zero-point energy at every point in the universe and then no matter can exist for an extended period (way less than a nano-second). And no matter means no bass!! I like the idea tho!

Nore expense but way way lighter. Not as strong but I would of gone aluminium!!
@crazyperson69993 жыл бұрын
With 12 18in's it'll probably flex the aluminum too much but idk good question
@sethharriman19883 жыл бұрын
He could always buy a dimple die set and that cuts weight and adds rigidity to any metal. Steel or aluminum. Thats what I wouldve done. But there isn't much space to use the die set anyways so. Might not be as helpful

Production value is top notch. The time you put into editing really shows.
@benjaminoller87653 жыл бұрын
Great breakdown! Love watching you get so enthusiastic with the build! Another plus, the 9,900 lb GVWR limit is what the vehicle can SAFELY handle. This takes the suspension and driveline all into account, so with the helper springs in there to make the vehicle handle much better with added weight you've probably raised that limit. With all the weight savings and upgrades that truck should be cruising just fine :)
@GodlessDad3 жыл бұрын
Those Millner-Haufen cut/grind wheels are awesome! I have 2 of them, just so I don't have to flip it over. Great tool investment, no regrets.

The answer to the trivia question is definitely the car audio community. It gets better the bigger it gets, but also worse the smaller it gets. On a side note, its cool to see people like you still doing what you enjoy, despite all the craziness in the world right now.
@charliefrancis64383 жыл бұрын
Love it , reminds me of my system build in the 90s helper springs and air bags to handle about 5000 pounds of system
@christopherhofheins27633 жыл бұрын
Kudos to you man! You took the time to check the weight of every piece for your build, just don’t forget the weight of the screws, that stuff adds up quick too buddy
@reginaldxavier21473 жыл бұрын
I love this content man. Really cool showing all the little details. One thing: when considering payload you typically don’t include weight savings from wheels or tires. They’re what’s considered “un-sprung weight.”
@ryandickey12393 жыл бұрын
I like this guy you can tell he’s a hard worker
@8gRaceTeam3 жыл бұрын
You can wrap your car port with metal roofing once the tarp material wears out. It's around $400. Use the self tapping metal roof screws. Start at one side and work your way around up over the top and down the other side to keep everything aligned. You'll need three guys. We used a truck with a ladder rack to stand on plus scaffolding. Add a little more cash if you want to add front and back wall. Edges are also really sharp.

I'm not going to lie to you exo... that cutting wheel you were using on the grinder is something we refer to as a man eater in the metal working trade. I will never use them and thats why I still have my face in one piece. I've seen people who weren't as lucky.

One thing to keep in mind when increasing payload capacity is that it isn't just the springs that need upgrading. 400 pounds or so probably won't cause too many issues but payload is about more than springs alone. Wheels and tires have to be up to the task. Axles also have to be able to deal with the extra stress. Some folks with their heavy duty tow rigs have run into issues when they added spring capacity but forgot about the wheels and had a collapse or forgot about the tires and had blowouts. Another thing to keep in mind is very few factory vehicles are built to be used at max capacity, much less over max, at all times. Only time will tell if you'll be alright but I'd check the weight rating on those tires first and then the wheels.

I always use Gasket maker to fix a "poked hole" in surrounds.. If its too big use a piece of plastic window screen. One layer of gasket maker and let dry. Then put window screen and another layer of gasket maker. Any adhesive that bonds strong to surround that flexes after cured will work but that's what I use. Thankfully ive learned to take my time and use finger to guide as screwing in or out.. Doesnt happen anymore
