Dan, great work! On the Allett I notice you keep the lawn rake on when scarifying (which I get as takes time to remove), so: -presume you keep the lawn rake at the highest? - are you scarifying on the lowest height on the Allett? Thanks for all the content, videos and humour this year, been great to follow you. 🍾👏
@DanielHibbertLawnExpert
@DanielHibbertLawnExpert Жыл бұрын
Hi Paul, i have never touched the allett front rake so presume its on its highest, i used to tinker on old machines like back in 2008 when i bought my first one but if you lower just a tad, if you get a undulated lawn one min your mowing then the next your tripping over the mower as it stops dead as the rake has hit a high spot, the scarifying attatchment setting was pretty low, doesnt do anything if leave it high

Daniel, after lots of effort and backache, I put a new lawn ( seed)down on 12 tonnes of root zone. The covers did the trick and a new growth of green came through :) However now the covers are off, the BA5T4RD squirrels continually dig up the new lawn. Not only destroying the new seedlings, they have turned my snooker table flat lawn into a ploughed field! its uneven, potholes and bald patches everywhere!! I could honestly cry ..... Any way of preventing the vermin 5h1t5 making the lawn look like its had more attacks than Dunkirk? Ive got fake owls, but the cheeky gets just dig up right in front of them!!!! They don't touch the gardens on 3 sides of mine, just my new lawn Arrrrrrrggghhhhhhhh! Please help!!!! I suppose land mines aren't an option?

@@mattyburrows9059 One time use will get some worms but they operate at different depths so you will need multiple apps and no need to go over 30 gsm per hit. Temps determine how deep or shallow the worms are. You can also irritate them using yellow mustard powder together with purity, you will need bulk amounts and a lot of water. The mustard forces them out into the air. Or do what I'm doing and give up for winter, I used to pay £35 per bag of purity, no way I'm paying the stupid prices of 60 or 70 today.
